What to Wear To A Super Bowl Party at Home

Ladies this weekend is the Super Bowl and I am looking forward to seeing this game as well as the halftime entertainment. I was shopping last week at J.Jill’s for something to wear this weekend at home with the family and found this cute outfit for my Super Bowl party at home.

We have always gone to or hosted Super Bowl parties. This one is only going to be with my husband and Sammy but we’re still going to have fun. My husband will probably join a Super Bowl pool with the guys at the club. I don’t care how many people are coming, I still make it a fun day. Sammy and I love cooking together especially appetizers!

My Outfit for Our Super Bowl Party

Since we’re staying at home by ourselves for the Super Bowl I still want to dress up just like we used to. I tend to wear a lot of leggings with tunics when I’m at home or running errands but I needed a new pair of black leggings.

As I have said before I have been doing some retail therapy shopping at J.Jill’s store near me. I am a fan of J.Jill’s Ponte leggings and have a pair of plum-colored ones from the fall collection which I shared with you before. These Smoothing-Ponte leggings are made of a thicker knit and have a front seam down the front. I am wearing a medium and the leggings are long if you have short legs.

I purchased this striped top to add to my wardrobe because stripes are a classic style that is timeless. It’s a pullover with a curved hemline that is lower in the back. I can wear it with pants and shorts when the weather warms up. I am wearing a medium size.

My Easy Super Bowl Party Menu

Sammy and I have been discussing and thinking of fun recipes to make for the 3 of us on Sunday. It’s going to be an easy meal that won’t take much time to prepare.

Charcuterie Board

Close up of charcuterie board and glasses of wine on stone counter.

Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce

The easiest appetizer out there! So many grocery stores are selling the cooked shrimp in rings with cocktail sauce!

Cooked shrimp with cocktail sauce against a granite tabletop. Shellfish like shrimp are a delicious appetizer but also pose a health risk to anyone with a food allergy to shellfish.

Lobster Ravioli with Lobster Bisque

This entire recipe is from my favorite ravioli company Giovanni Rana but I changed it up using their lobster ravioli because That’s what I purchased at Costco. I love lobster bisque and you can use any lobster bisque recipe and thicken it to make it into a sauce for pasta! You can add mushrooms, peas, or any other vegetable you enjoy with lobster.

Lobster raviolo

Here’s a great Lobster bisque recipe that all you have to do is thicken it!

Who are you going to be cheering for on Sunday? The GOAT vs. the young GUN. It should be fun to watch!

  1. Robin, that lobster ravioli dish looks so good – my mouth is watering! The ponte knit leggings are fabulous too, I’m a fan of a thicker knit that isn’t skin tight and the seam down the front adds a nice detail too. Looking terrific as usual!

Love the front seam on the leggings! Lengthening and a detail that elevates the look.
