The Final Four

I am having my own sort of “March Madness” this month similar to the annual college basketball tournament currently going on. (But no one is betting on me and I haven’t busted anyone’s bracket.)

Just as 64 of the best teams in the country start at the beginning of the tournament in hopes of making it to the Final Four, my search for the perfect Mother of the Groom dress has been an elimination process of 64 dresses , cut down to the  Sweet 16, then to the Elite Eight, and finally to the Final Four , with only one dress crowned the winner.  Continue reading

The Fierce 50 Campaign: Two Peas in a Pod

Today is the 50th day of the year and a wonderful group of women over the age of 50 have joined together to create the Fierce 50 Campaign as a testimony to all  50ish women that we are embracing our journey as being middle age and age is just a number.

We come from all over the world, from different backgrounds, but we are united by a common thread that runs through all of us; we are still reinventing ourselves  way beyond the age of 50. You can read more about the campaign on Thrive Global.

I have a wonderful new friend I met on this journey of celebrating women over 50 and realized we were two peas in a pod. It was like I have known her forever and we shared many common moments that helped to define who we are as Fierce 50 women.

The Benefits of Owning a Dog after 50

There is a truth all dog owners know is that their dogs love them unconditionally. And many dog owners love their dogs like they are their children. Studies have shown we are happier and healthier as over 50ish dog owners.

I didn’t own a dog until I was 50ish and having Bruno in my life has enriched it more than he will ever know.
