The Little Black Dress

Ladies, don’t know what to wear to your Christmas party? If you don’t own a little black dress, I think it’s time to add this classic dress to your wardrobe.

I own 2 black dresses that can be worn to weddings, holiday parties, or any formal affair.  One is a maxi and the other is my perfect little black dress.

You saw this black dress last year which I wanted to wear to last’s Christmas party, (but it was canceled due to a freakish snow storm so it never left my closet.)

This little black dress is velvet so I tend to wear it only in the winter. I throw on my multistrand pearls and black heels to complete this look.

I love the off the shoulder cowl neckline because of the way it enhances my neck.

You can never go wrong wearing a little black dress for any occasion. This classic style has been around forever and never goes out of style.

I plan on wearing this dress tomorrow to our club’s annual Christmas party but the weather forecast is looking crappy again. Freezing weather may bring ice or snow to the Georgia mountains so I am keeping my eyes glued to the weather report.

So I may be just sitting here all dressed up with no place to go again!

  2. I love the lbd, they are so elegant and basic! They are the garment that no woman can ignore. Yours, the central element of the post, is a marvel, because of the beautiful design, the delicate fabric and how they look on you! The wonderful neckline accompanied by pearls, your hair collected, your smile, your natural elegance … A beautiful post, in which you look wonderful!

  3. LOVE that dress! Where did you get it? I love how velvet feels and it seems to just smooth out all those little imperfections that other lighter materials seem to highlight on me. You look FABULOUS. Hope you get to wear it to the party. 🙂
