Red, White, and Blue for Memorial Day Weekend
Ladies, what are your plans for Memorial Day weekend? As we salute our fallen heroes who protected our country and our freedom this upcoming holiday, it’s also our summer kick-off to outdoor entertaining! I love entertaining in the summer, especially for the holidays. My red, white, and blue table setting will be perfect for Memorial Day and the 4th of July.
Since we will be spending Memorial Day weekend outdoors grilling and eating on the porch, I decided to wear a very patriotic outfit from Chico’s.
The post is sponsored by Chico’s. However, all opinions are my own.
Red, White, and Blue Fashion for Memorial Day
I love dressing up in patriotic-themed outfits. For my barbeque party, I selected the Embellished Flag Tee in navy and Chico’s No Stain Girlfriend Embellished Hem Cropped Jeans in Alabaster. This outfit can be worn for Memorial Day and then again on the 4th of July.
Even my jewelry has a patriotic theme. I am wearing the Navy Chico’s Click Bangle and the Red Click Bracelet that I wore in this post. Unfortunately, the red one is sold out. I paired the two click bangles with the Gold Tone Stretch Bracelet Set, which is also out of stock. It was available last week, but I think the recent Chico’s sale caused it to sell out. I need to share posts quicker when I’m wearing Chico’s. This is a brand that so many of you enjoy wearing as well as I do! Anyway, the No Droop™ Red Lucite Square Hoops are still available, as well as the Embellished Denim Sneakers. I was a little bit adventurous when I selected the blinged-up sneakers. What do you think of the sneakers? Would you wear them?
Red, White, and Blue Table Setting for Memorial Day
If you’re looking for some patriotic inspiration for the upcoming holidays, I hope you enjoy my outdoor porch decorated for the holidays. From my red, white, and blue dinnerware to all the fun patriotic decor on my ladder bookshelf, I think I’m ready to have a barbecue!
I’ve had the Melamine patriotic dinnerware collection for a few years, but you can always substitute paper plates for your patriotic parties. We have so many pool parties and barbecues with the kids that nonbreakable dinnerware is used all summer long. My orchids love spending time outside in the summer, and can you believe that these are 4 years old? They even survive three months without watering when I’m in Park City. I’m always expecting to find dead orchids when I return in March, but they like to go dormant in the winter. Orchids are my favorite plants, and my daughter-in-law just gave me another one for Mother’s Day!
The patriotic decor on the ladder shelf behind me was a recent purchase from Michael’s. My granddaughters love it when I decorate my porch. They come outside and play with the decorations. That’s why I still decorate my house during the holidays. It’s for my granddaughters as well as for me. I decorated my house for my children, and now I decorate my home for my little girls.
My Memorial Day Menu
I love grilling hot dogs and hamburgers when we entertain the family. These are easy and simple recipes that can be prepared ahead of time. My favorite and most requested dessert in the summer is the Bisquick Strawberry Shortcake, which I loved as a little girl growing up in Minnesota.
