Blue Fashion in January

Happy new year my friends! I am so sorry that I have been MIA since the end of December but celebrating New Year’s, birthdays, and moving my son into his new home last week has put my blog post on pause. I can’t believe how busy I’ve been the last 10 days! But  I had time to shop the sales after Christmas and can’t wait to share what I bought. I can’t believe that I came home with so many blue tops! It seems that many of the stores focus on shades of blue in January and this top is no exception! I wonder why stores focus on blue fashion so much in January.

My Blue Fashion in January

The color blue will remain a very popular color in 2023 with many different shades of blue taking center stage this year.

The color blue is often associated with wellness which is why blue fashion is popular in January. Blue can represent rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and release feelings of tranquility. Blue is also cooling in nature and helps with balance and self-expression. Which makes it a wonderful color to start off the new year!

I was so impressed with the different colors of blues that I saw at Chico’s recently. From the soft shades of blue to the recently launched navy collection. You have so many pretty options to choose from. I actually purchased a few tops in blue. You recently saw the abstract print tunic top in this post.

I really liked this Flocked Sleeve Knit Top in teal. It is a fun animal print top. The subtle textured print adds an element of surprise to this tiered sleeve design.

I am wearing faux leather pants from J.Crew with the top but any type of black pants would look great with this top. The earrings are also from Chico’s. They actually are sold in a set of two. For sizing purposes, I am wearing a size one in the top and a size 10 in the pants.

Next up in my blue fashion series is another fabulous outfit from J. Jill!

I am also going to spend time this month talking about health and wellness to jumpstart your new year!

Until next time!

  1. What a gorgeous color on you!! Not sure what to call it. Peacock? Deep Cerulean? Just beautiful. Love the tiered detailing on the sleeves and the flocked animal print. And those earrings…they are perfect with that top.

I have blue eyes and don’t wear a lot of blue because of that. Probably sounds silly. But I feel like blue accentuates my blue eyes and I feel self-conscious about that. Ha!! Yup, I am certifiable. Just makes me feel funny. Might have to break that self-written rule and try more blue this year.

      Chico’s calls it teal.
I never thought to avoid wearing blue because I have blue eyes too.
Blue actually is one of my favorite colors to wear.

      Maybe you should try it!
      Hugs!
