Personal Color Guide for Dressing Your Truth

You know the saying ” that beauty is only skin-deep”, but let’s face it: Most of us care what we look like on the outside. For women, that’s an understatement. Are you dressing in a way that makes you feel CONFIDENT and BEAUTIFUL?

What do people see when they look at you? And more importantly, what do you see in the mirror when you look at yourself?

This is a sponsored post with Carol Tuttle, however, my opinions are my own.

Carol Tuttle is the author of Dressing Your Truth, a book that tells women to ignore the latest trends and play up their personalities. Ever wish you could bring your therapist into the dressing room?

Dressing Your Truth is a makeover and beauty system that is about expressing and honoring your authentic nature. Dressing Your Truth is based on the idea that our personality, features, energy, and strengths or weaknesses can all be used to categorize each of us into one of four types.

Before I could begin our collaboration Carol asked me to take her Dressing Your Truth Quiz to learn what personality or energy I had.

Take the Quiz here.

How Dressing Your Truth Works

Once you know your personal beauty type, from taking the quiz, the Dressing Your Truth online training program will show you how to put it together. From the movement and style of your clothing, accessories, and hair cuts, colors, and styles that honor and support your inner beauty.

You use those guidelines to create a personal style that highlights the beautiful woman that you are.

This was so fun for me to sign up for the style kit because Carol sends you 30 daily emails for personal support as you learn how to express yourself authentically in your truth!

Carol’s Dress Your Truth style kit includes 4 color cards with all the right colors for your type! These cards guide you carefully along your path of STYLE based on your personality energy type.
I am a Type 1 personality that was so spot on when I took the quiz. I am an optimist and always wear a smile on my face. Based on my Type 1 personality I can now understand why I always look better in aqua and turquoise.  For instance, wearing a color that isn’t on my color guide may not bring out the best in me.

Below is the Type 1 color chart that I use.
In the kit, you will have your style colors, your pattern guides, and a mini style guide to keep in your purse when you’re out shopping for your next fabulous outfit!
After you take the Quiz, there are all sorts of details assessed to reveal your personal style -even hair & beauty- so you can feel strong & confident every time you walk in the room!
Who knew that a bob haircut was going to be in a tutorial!
Or that I look great in the shades of pink and yellow found on my style color guide? I grabbed the mini style guide and headed off to the Talbots Outlet and purchased everything I am wearing.
Once you take the quiz you should look in your closet and see what colors are on your style guide. Pull them out to wear again and again!
So, if you are looking for additional information on how to look your best,  I invite you to consider taking a look at the Dressing Your Truth program.
Remember to DRESS YOUR TRUTH! NOT YOUR AGE!

    Dear Robin,
Consider the possibility you have not used Carol’s material correctly. It’s not based on personality or outlook. It’s movement and energy. It’s all in the face. Faces don’t lie. I can see that you have mistyped yourself. And yet it doesn’t matter as you instinctively dress true to your true type (on your insta)in many ways more than anything else. We all mistype ourselves it’s inevitable.
    Love to you

      Melissa,
      Thank you for your comment.
However, Carol Tuttle was the person who said I was a type one, because of my face.
What type did you think I should be?

  2. How interesting! I’m a type 4 which didn’t surprise me. It’s fascinating how your inner truth can be a fashion determinator. I think your palette looks great on you!
