Purple Fashion Reigns Again For Spring Fashion Colors in 2022

When I was shopping for a periwinkle outfit for my  50 Shades of Periwinkle post, I ended up, by accident, with this lilac purple cardigan. Instead of returning the cardigan, I kept it because the color looked good on me. From lilac to lavender, from magenta to Ultra Violet, designers have chosen purple to play with again in 2022. So you will be seeing a lot of purple fashion again for spring’s style in 2022.

What Purple Fashion Looks best on You?

Purple is one of what we call a universal color, it suits every coloring type, and this season it is all over the place. There are so many different shades of purple that you’re sure to find one that you will love. I tend to wear colors from my color chart for my Type 1 personality that I wrote about a couple of years ago. Read more Here.

Dressing Your Truth is a makeover and beauty system about expressing and honoring your authentic nature. Dressing Your Truth is based on the idea that our personalities, features, energy, and strengths or weaknesses can be used to categorize us into one of four types. I am a type 1, and below is my color chart.

TYPE 1 COLOR GUIDE FOR DRESSING YOUR TRUTH

As you can see, I enjoy wearing periwinkle and this lilac purple cardigan because they are colors on my color guide. These colors are also considered a Summer Color palette.

Of course, I’m wearing white with this cardigan because I have a limited wardrobe in Park City. I was so happy to finally wear this lovely shade of purple to go with my amethyst earrings and necklace that were a gift from my daughter.

Did You know wearing Lilac Purple makes us look younger?

Lilac purple comes off as one of the least obvious color choices for anyone wanting to look younger. But this color works like magic!

The best part about lilac purples is that this color will work with pretty much all skin tones.

What Colors Go with Purple?

Since purple has warm and cool undertones, purple can be worn with almost everything.

Below are lovely color palettes that I found on Color Palettes to show you what colors look beautiful with different shades of purple. We love sharing these color schemes with our clients to create rooms using fabrics and paints as interior designers. But, of course, you can use these color palettes to make an outfit too!

  1. I bought the Vionic purple/lilac animal look 3 inch espadrilles since I already had the cream/black ones and have looked for tops ever since in purple. Since I am petite I found one at Loft in lilac. Alot of my tops have a purple flower or stripe or something running thru them too. I wear these shoes alot and have received many compliments on them this Spring/Summer.
