The temperatures have fallen in Atlanta, and I’m pulling out my warmer outer layers. Recently, I had the opportunity to stop by my favorite J.Jill store in Avalon to check out J.Jill’s latest fall collection. I will share more about J.Jill’s fall collection in another post. Today I want to share how to style a sweater poncho.
How to Style a Sweater Poncho
In 2022 a sweater poncho can quickly elevate a pair of pants, straight-leg jeans, and leggings. Those days of bulky and frumpy ponchos are long gone. Now we have pieces that can make you look chic and stylish and keep you comfortable and warm. I wrote about the poncho trending again in 2022 in this post.
Ladies, I am sharing two ways to wear a poncho this fall. One way is to wear the poncho with dress pants, and the other is with jeans. I fell in love with J.Jill’s cream-colored pants
from their Wearever Collection. The pants can be worn from fall until spring and will be perfect for the holidays. The pull-on pants are a style you’ll enjoy wearing virtually any season. The slightly fuller leg flatters every body.
The scarf is a nature-inspired pattern, with large blue and gold leaves are woven on a neutral ombré background. Twisted tied fringe at each end makes for a wonderful accessory for the blue poncho. I am wearing a button-hem top in cream underneath the poncho. It’s also from the Wearever Collection.

Ponchos are a great way to add volume and balance to your skinny jeans and slim trousers. They have a lot of fabric, so they look pretty put together when paired with skinny jeans and heels. They can give you a very glamorous and chic look.
