How to Look Chic and Comfortable on Thanksgiving
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is on Thursday? I went shopping last week to beat the crowds. Shopping early for my Thanksgiving dinner ingredients keeps me from feeling stressed. I also dress up when I entertain at home and found the perfect outfit to wear on Thanksgiving from Chico’s. This year I will be adding some sparkle to Thanksgiving and wearing this outfit throughout the holiday season. My criteria for a Thanksgiving outfit is to be chic and comfortable.
My Chic and Comfortable Outfit for Thanksgiving
When I entertain for the holidays, I am all about comfort and style. My main concern is being able to cook without getting overheated in the kitchen. I utilize two ovens and my six-burner cooktop for my Thanksgiving dinner, so the kitchen gets pretty warm.
This holiday season, Chico sent me so many beautiful things to share with you, and I thought this Ombré Sequin Tee and Girlfriend Coated Ankle Jeans in gold would be the first ones worn for the holidays.
I am wearing the Patricia Green Collection Malibu Kitten Heel Mule in hot pink. These kitten heels are so comfortable that I have another pair to share with you later.
If gold pants aren’t your thing, I also styled the Ombré Sequin Tee with Chico’s Juliet Ponte Trim Detail Ankle Pants in English Cream. This time, I’m wearing Inez’s Bea: Crema Nappa
kitten heels. I have come to realize that my preferred dress shoe is a kitten-heel shoe.
I know many of you are curious about what I serve at Thanksgiving. This menu has been my Thanksgiving dinner for 35 years. Many of the recipes are from Southern cookbooks that I had collected during my time as a flight attendant. I love collecting cookbooks in different cities I visit.

Best smile!! And what a bounty you prepare for the Thanksgiving meal. Wow. Going to check out a couple of your recipes. Thank you for providing the links. Everything sounds mouthwatering and delicious.
Every year I say I am going to dress up for dinner. But I always seem to be up to my elbows in gravy or dishwater or something right up until we sit down to eat. This year…at least as it stands now…my daughter is going to host. And I might just be able to dress in something more than jeans and a tee!! You look lovely. I like the subtle pattern mixing and your strapped black shoes are very cute.
