How to Look Chic and Comfortable on Thanksgiving

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is two weeks away? I saw people getting their frozen turkeys yesterday at Publix, which is on my shopping list for the weekend. Shopping early for my Thanksgiving dinner ingredients keeps me from feeling stressed. I also dress up when I entertain at home and found the perfect outfit to wear on Thanksgiving. My criteria for a Thanksgiving outfit are to be chic and comfortable.

My Chic  and Comfortable Outfit for Thanksgiving

I am all about comfort and style when I entertain for the holidays. My main concern is to be able to cook and not get overheated in the kitchen. I utilize two ovens and my six-burner cooktop for my Thanksgiving dinner. As a result, the kitchen gets pretty warm.

I think this tulle dot sleeve mock-neck pullover is perfect to wear while entertaining for Thanksgiving. The sheer sleeves are so elegant and keep you from sweating over the mashed potatoes. The sweater comes in ivory too. This feminine sweater will take you from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve. It’s the prettiest sweater I have seen in a long time.

These zebra print pants from Talbots are on repeat. I wore them in this post.  The pants are so comfortable and not form-fitting. The cotton bi-stretch fabric was designed for comfort and versatility.

I know many of you are curious about what I serve at Thanksgiving. This menu has been my Thanksgiving dinner for 35 years. Many of the recipes are from Southern cookbooks that I had collected during my time as a flight attendant. I love collecting cookbooks in different cities I visit.

  1. Best smile!! And what a bounty you prepare for the Thanksgiving meal. Wow. Going to check out a couple of your recipes. Thank you for providing the links. Everything sounds mouthwatering and delicious.

Every year I say I am going to dress up for dinner. But I always seem to be up to my elbows in gravy or dishwater or something right up until we sit down to eat. This year…at least as it stands now…my daughter is going to host. And I might just be able to dress in something more than jeans and a tee!! You look lovely. I like the subtle pattern mixing and your strapped black shoes are very cute.
