How To Style Winter White for the Holidays

Ladies do you love to wear winter white in the winter or during the holidays?

I went to a small holiday dinner party this week and pulled out this over 10-year-old winter white suit (praying it would zip up) and thought to myself do I add a pop of color with my accessories or go with a totally monochromatic look?

I love wearing winter white when the weather outside is frightful because it lifts my mood. Winter white or any shade of white symbolizes purity and simplicity.  It’s a very elegant look that can be worn by adding a pop of color in your accessories or keep it simple by wearing a monochromatic look with pearls.

Since the winter white outfit is the canvas to paint on, one of the most stylish, straightforward, and elegant ways to compose your attire is adding a splash of bright color with the help of your accessories.

Adding a Pop of Color with Winter White

Colored accessories need to come in small numbers, as less is more and simplicity is elegance. Pick one or two items only to add a splash of color to your outfit: like a necklace, earrings, and shoes.

Since it’s the holiday season I thought my red necklace and earrings would look great as a pop of color. I also have on my favorite red heels.

Black always looks great as a pop of color with a winter white outfit but wear a color that you love. You can’t go wrong with any pop of color for a winter white outfit!

Monochromatic Style

There is something very elegant and chic about wearing pearls with a winter white suit. This suit even looks nice without the necklace because of the gold button details on the pockets.

I love wearing white on white because it’s such a crisp and clean look. I am wearing two different multistrand pearl necklaces but you can easily wear one multistrand necklace.

A Note About My Makeup

My makeup reflects the understated elegance I was trying to achieve with my winter white outfit. I wore bronze-pink lipstick and went light on my eyeshadow. As I have gotten older less is more when it comes to my makeup.

My outfit, jewelry, and shoes are no longer available, but I have selected similar items that you may enjoy for your winter white holiday outfit.

      Thank you Lucy!
I love using a neutral outfit like my winter white pantsuit and adding a pop of color!

  2. I can’t believe your suit is 10 years old! So striking, and so classic. It just goes to show that good taste never goes out of style. I have a winter white full-length coat that is roughly 15 years old, and every time I wear it, whether with an evening dress or something super casual like jeans, it brightens my whole outfit. Winter white jazzes everything up!

  3. I love winter white for the holidays! So chic and stylish. You put this together so well Robin and amen to clothes that still fit us 10 years later!
