Celebrate in Red, White, and Blue Style

There’s something so fun about creating a summer table setting and then dressing to match the mood. Red, white, and blue always feel classic, festive, and effortlessly elegant this time of year, and I love how fashion and entertaining can complement one another beautifully. Whether it’s a dress or this outfit from Chico’s, coordinating my outfit with the table creates a thoughtful, pulled-together look that makes gatherings feel even more special. To me, style isn’t just about what we wear—it’s about creating an atmosphere that feels warm, welcoming, and memorable.
Memorial Day always feels like the unofficial beginning of summer and the start of a season filled with patriotic celebrations. From Memorial Day through the Fourth of July and all the way to Labor Day, I love decorating with classic red, white, and blue touches that feel festive, timeless, and welcoming.
This year, I thought it would be fun to style my table using many of the favorite pieces you’ve seen me share over the years. I love bringing those familiar details back in fresh ways, and the best part is that this table setting will work beautifully for the Fourth of July celebrations, too.
Red, White, and Blue Table

I used a lantern, paper plates, and white dinner plates to create my red, white, and blue table. I started off with paper plates then thought my indigo melamine blue salad bowls would look better. Then off to the local grocery store for bouquets of red, white, and blue flowers! The woman behind me at checkout was so inspired by my collection of flowers she went back to get her flowers. Just because many of us are staying home this holiday weekend doesn’t mean for us to stop celebrating the men who died while fighting for our country! Plus flowers lift your spirit and beautify your home.

Instead of vases use other containers for flowers. These Chinese Ginger jars are perfect for flowers.

Add little flags and patriotic table-toppers to complete the theme.

My Red, White, and Blue Outfits
There’s something timeless and nostalgic about wearing red, white, and blue for Memorial Day. It feels festive without being overdone and perfectly captures the spirit of summer gatherings, family traditions, and honoring those who have served our country. I love incorporating these classic colors into my outfits through simple red tops, soft denim blues, or a pop of red accessories. It’s a look that always feels polished, patriotic, and effortlessly stylish for everything from backyard barbecues to holiday weekends with family and friends.

I was given this outfit from Chico’s for the Mother’s Day Collaboration, but it’s perfect for any patriotic holiday.

Unfortunately, the red earrings and red cuff bracelet from Chico’s are no longer available.

Here’s a cute dress from Amazon that is another choice for Memorial Day.

Since we were not home, we didn’t set up any patriotic colors but I am looking forward to do so by the end of June. I have made different things over the years so I have a few fun red white and blue items !

I love how you bring the celebration of the holidays so artistically to your tables. I am going to use your ideas of using items that we already have such as the ginger jar .
