Black and White Outfits | Talbots

Are you getting ready for the holidays? My house is completely decorated for the holidays because my design team is beginning to decorate our client’s homes this week! I always decorate my house before I decorate anyone else’s house. For the next three weeks, my design company will decorate 10 homes, 25 trees, massive amounts of holiday decor, garlands, and wreaths. So before I start sharing my holiday outfits and my home decorated for Christmas, I want to share with you my black and white outfits from Talbots.

Talbots invited me to do a collaboration with them in October focusing on their pant collection. When I selected the  Chatham Ankle Pants – Bold Houndstooth, I decided to select more plaids from their black and white collection. Plaid is such a popular pattern for the fall and winter. Black and white outfits are timeless classics that can be worn year after year.

1. Black and White Sweater Vest Style

I haven’t owned a sweater vest in years and thought that I needed to add this Sweater Shell – Bold Plaid to my wardrobe. It is perfect with black pants or a black skirt for winter. I am wearing Talbot’s A-Line Skirt – Faux Leather but it’s selling out quickly online. I know I should have posted this in October when lots of sizes were still available! Stop by your local Talbot’s store and see if they have the skirt in your size. I love the length of this skirt and looks great with boots, flats, and heels.

The white Fitted Stretch Shirt is from Chico’s and is a staple piece that you should have in your closet. I could have tucked in the shirt but I was imitating the model on the Talbots website. What do you think? Tuck in or leave it out?

My table is set for the holidays. I will be sharing more of my home and the holiday outfits I selected from talbots and Chico’s.

2. The Classic Houndstooth Pants styled three ways

When Talbot’s asked me to collaborate with them in October it was to promote the pant collection. I selected Talbots Chatham Ankle Pants – Bold Houndstooth for the pants I wanted to wear. These wear-everywhere pants are in a timeless check print. I really like the slightly higher waist for a modern fit. Plus they have cotton bi-stretch fabric for comfort and versatility.

You can add a black blazer and a white tank top with the pants. I am wearing a faux leather jacket that I have worn before in this post.

Sadly the company doesn’t exist anymore but I have linked you some faux leather jackets below.

What is more classic than a black turtleneck and black flats with the houndstooth pants? Simple and effortless style.

When the weather calls for an extra layer how about this Windowpane Funnel Neck Poncho from Talbots.

You can see the black window pane underneath which is a wonderful style element. But it is not reversible.

Black and White Holiday style

I’ve added a pop of red to my outfit for a simple holiday style. My red heels and bag add a festive amount of color to my outfit. I will be wearing this outfit to many holiday gatherings this December.
