Bay Alarm Medical Alert System For Our Seniors

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bay Alarm Medical. All opinions are 100% mine.

We all want to live in our homes for as long as we get older. We all aspire to be independent and live in our homes well into our eighties and nineties. You can do many things to renovate your home to age properly with you. But you cannot always protect yourself from falls or other emergencies. So I am sharing the Bay Alarm Medical Alert System with you. Whether it’s for your parents or you, you must start looking into a medical alert system for peace of mind.

A year ago, my father had fallen in his bathroom in Florida and lay on the floor for four days until we called the sheriff’s department to check on him. But unfortunately, he didn’t have a medical alert necklace or cell phone to call for help. So dad now lives in assisted living next door to me and wears a medical alert button for safety and emergencies.

Caring for an Aging Parent

My 87-year-old mother still lives independently, and we worry about her falling or needing to call for an emergency when none of us live in her town. So I am giving mom the Bay Alarm Medical system for my peace of mind. Mom is still very active and always on the go. I like the GPS Mobile Device because I can track and monitor mom. This device is not just for seniors. It’s perfect for everyone!

Bay Alarm Medical Alert System

BAY ALARM MEDICAL ALERT SYSTEMS, a top medical alert system industry provider, has provided years of reliable protection to older adults. They offer various products, from in-home systems with fall detection to mobile units and high-tech smartwatches.

I received the following items from Bay Alarm Medical for this post. Many of these items are upgrade packages.

  • IN HOME Base Unit
  • Water Resistant Wall Button
  • Personal Help Button
  • Bella Charms
  • Personal Help Button with Auto Fall Detection
  • Lock Box- The lockbox is something you will put your keys in for the EMS. It’s going to be placed outside of your home and will have the code on file to be able to tell the paramedics so that they get into your home without breaking anything.
  • SOS SMARTWATCH
  • ON THE GO / MOBILE GPS DEVICE
  • Vial of Life- The Vial of Life lists your vital medical history, allergies, and medications. You can stick it on the fridge to help EMS quickly assess medical needs and prevent treatment mistakes.

Bay Alarm Medical Pricing

Did you know that the Bay Alarm Medical alert system supports over 170 languages to communicate with non-English or English-as-a-second-language clients effectively!

Setup Tip: Put the base unit in areas you frequent (e.g., the kitchen, living room, bedroom) or by high-risk areas like the stairs. Keep the base unit in a visible spot with few or no objects for easy access.

Bay Alarm Medical Alert Water Resistant Wall Buttons

Bay Alarm Medical’s water-resistant wall buttons come with adhesive mounts. The wall buttons are handy for high-risk areas like the shower or stairs. Place them low on the wall where they are accessible if you fall in the shower.

Bella Charms

Are you worried that your wearable help button is an eyesore? Bay Alarm Medical offers their signature Bella Charms, transforming help buttons into a stylish necklace. These sleeves easily clip onto the front of your help button.

Bay Alarm Medical Alert Smart Watch

When I first unboxed the Bay Alarm Smartwatch, it looked exactly like a “regular” smartwatch. Unless you told someone, they’d never know it was a medical alert device – a big plus in my eyes! The smartwatch came with a charging cable, a charging cradle, and a power supply. To charge, place the unit on the charging cradle. Unfortunately, the battery life is only one day. So you will have to re-charge your watch every day.

In addition to the smartwatch, they have an on-the-go SOS Mobile Device!

Bay Alarm Medical SOS MOBILE DEVICE Details

  • Compact size, lightweight, sleek look
  • 4GLTE Connectivity for faster connection and more accurately pinpoint location tracking (so if they press for an emergency, their current location should be more accurate)
  • Water-resistant – can be used in the shower and can withstand most wet conditions such as rain
  • Can be worn around included lanyard or included belt clip
  • Two-way speaker
  • 24/7 USA-based monitoring
  • two-way speaker so the user can talk to and hear the live dispatcher
  • built-in step counter
  • battery life is up to 6 days per charge

App

  • The SOS Mobile Device caregiver app feature allows you to see step counter results.
  • See the most current location or last known location after the app updates at regular intervals.
  • You will also be able to view recent alert activity (i.e., at what time mom pushed her button)

It was tricky to figure out how to open the watchband and size it. Also, the metal clasp may be difficult for those with arthritis or dexterity problems.

Have you thought of getting a medical alert system for your parents or yourself?

It’s a wonderful system that gives you peace of mind!

Until next time!

Aging parents need to be monitored whether or not they live near us. A medical alert system is a very important part of living as best as possible.

  2. This is so important Robin! Sorry to hear about your dad falling. My MIL is 91 and her husband is 93, with dementia. She has fallen before several times and my husband is looking into something as it is critical for them to get help. I appreciate this post.

It’s hard watching our parents age. Falling and dementia are the number one factors that many of our parents need more help if they are living at home. I hope your husband finds a good solution for them.

  3. Wow, they’re really thought of everything to make is so convenient and easy to use. The necklace is such a good idea!

Isn’t it great! I like how it doesn’t look like a medical alert button which I see at my father’s senior living community.

  4. This is awesome. Going to check it out
