Swimsuits for Women over 50: The Run Wild Tankini

You know the old saying, “When it rains it pours,” well this summer I am going to be sharing with you lots of swimsuits! It’s not because I am a swimsuit model, it’s because I represent an age group that brands hope to attract as customers. I am now representing Miraclesuit and Bleu Rod Beattie this year. Both brands believe that every woman can look beautiful in their swimsuits at any age and with different body types. So today I am sharing this tankini from Bleu Rod Beattie’s Run Wild Collection.

This post is sponsored by Bleu Rod Beattie. However, all opinions are my own.

As I have gotten older I realize that my body doesn’t look like it once was but I still want to feel confident wearing a swimsuit in public. Broken veins, crepey skin, and extra pounds shouldn’t stop me from wearing a swimsuit in public. Yet, I won’t wear a two-piece in public anymore. God bless the women with body confidence who will throw on a bikini after 50 when they probably shouldn’t for so many reasons that I won’t go into it because I applaud them for doing so. Then there are the women with fantastic bodies who look fabulous in bikinis after 50 because they work out or just have slender bikini bodies, but I am not one of them. Embracing our bodies as we age is so important to age positively even if we wake up with a body that has changed overnight.

Swimsuits for Women over 50:The Run Wild Tankini

I selected the tankini top and skirted bottom from the RunWild Collection because I am more comfortable wearing a skirted swimsuit than I am showing my entire leg. It’s so silly but it’s my comfort level when wearing a swimsuit in public. I know that the one-shoulder swimsuit that I wore in this post is also very attractive looking. It is so wonderful to have so many options in just one collection from Bleu Rod Beattie!

I enjoy the look of a one-piece with the V Neck tankini from the Run Wild collection. This top offers the most coverage and is a great fit for regular or long torsos. I paired it with the Skirted Hipster Cut Front Bikini Bottom for my swimsuit. There are other options from the collection but I liked this look for me.

  1. Wow! What an amazing selection of gorgeous swimsuits! I am liking the one with the skirt. And, I am thinking it is perfect for Sundays with the family around the pool.
