Love Thy Jewelry-Hello I'm 50ish
#AD- Gifted Post

I have been truly blessed in my journey as a lifestyle fashion influencer and interior designer. I have made wonderful connections with other women over 50 and I have done collaborations with brands who I feel respects women after midlife with a style that is youthful and chic. Recently a wonderful young artist reached out to me on Instagram and wanted to create jewelry for me to share with you, my dear friends. May I introduce to you this wonderful jewelry designer, Sandra Love, owner of Love Thy Jewelry

The Instagram Story

Sandra contacted me by messaging me on my Instagram account a month ago today. She liked my style and my energy and wanted to send me a customized necklace and earrings. How could I refuse? I am an interior designer who creates rooms for my clients and I knew that Sandra would create a unique piece that was one of a kind. Her motto is “You are one of a kind. So wear you!”

I received my treasures before my trip to California and planned to wear them one night only in Half Moon Bay, but I received so many compliments that the necklace and earrings became my statement jewelry while I was vacationing.

Love Thy Jewelry-Hello I'm 50ish

Sandra actually has a day job but designs her jewelry in her free time. Lucky me she surfed Instagram to find me. I spoke to her design aesthetics. Sandra creates artisan jewelry and custom photo jewelry. Look at how beautiful this necklace is that she gave to me!

The Outfit

I love the gemstones and crystals that Sandra added to my jewelry. They actually look wonderful with my glasses don’t you think?

Do you shop small when it comes to your fashion style? Or do prefer to shop with recognized brands?

I prefer to shop local (which you will see what I purchased while shopping in Half Moon Bay)and wear unique clothes and accessories. I love little boutiques and I purchase clothes that speak to me

and my fashion style.

I packed this linen blend top and white linen pants for my trip to Half Moon Bay because I knew it would be in the 60’s but linen is a summer staple in my wardrobe. I limited myself to a black and white color combination because I want to mix and match on this trip.

I took all these photos in my room at the Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay. Why?

My room was a perfect backdrop to my outfits that I brought ( basically black, grey, and white) and I found posing outside a strange phenomenon even in Northern California. All the tourist pose and shoot selfies but I was very aware of a young fashion blogger who was taking ridiculous photos everywhere at the Ritz. (I prefer not looking ridiculous and at 61 would prefer not to draw attention to myself.) I had to take my photos myself since I haven’t asked my husband to be my photographer. Thank goodness my phone has a timer! I really enjoyed the light that was in my room and I will never be able to capture this in my home.

You do not need to pack a lot of clothes when you travel to California. It’s very chic and extremely casual even at expensive resorts.  It’s a very laid back style here in California.  But you need to check the weather before you leave. Long sleeves and pants were needed for my trip.

  1. Your necklace is so unique Robin, what a special piece. I prefer to be discrete when taking photos too – so we usually arrive really early to avoid disturbing other guests. Besides it can be a bit embarrassing! haha xx

  2. Oh Robin that necklace is stunning! I love the company motto too, I must check them out. Your linen outfit is so casual and chic, I love it!
I’m chuckling over the photo comment about looking ridiculous taking photos – I am aware of it all the time. It’s funny to me to see these young women (and men) posing all sorts of ways. I would be so self conscious but they don’t seem to mind a bit! Ha!!!
    Happy Thursday!

      Kellyann,

Yes you must check out Sandra’s website! Her jewelry is lovely and I think reasonably priced too!
I still find it strange to watch fashionistas posing everywhere in public but that’s me, I am uncomfortable doing it except when my daughters are behind the camera. Then I think people have no clue what we’re doing!
      Who takes your photos?

      Hugs,
      Robin

  3. I am not surprised that you wore it so often. It is beautiful…and you wear it so well.
