How to Style One Outfit 2 Ways for the Holiday Season

Ladies are you like me when it comes to wearing the same outfit twice but don’t want to look like it’s the only thing in your closet? We all have our basic wardrobe staples sitting in our closets that we love to put on during the holiday season but we don’t want to look like it’s THE ONLY THING!

How about styling one outfit 2 different ways to get 2 new looks this holiday season?

This post is sponsored by Baretraps shoes, however, all opinions are my own.

This holiday season is going to be more casual than the others I have experienced in Christmases past, but I will still wear my holiday colors in December. Small gatherings with close friends and family are all we’re doing to celebrate the season.

Begin with One Outfit

I love restyling one outfit in as many ways as possible for the holidays. Purchasing a new piece or new jewelry is how to update your holiday fashion. Investing in good quality clothes for your basic wardrobe-essentials.  The best thing about having basic wardrobe essentials is the number of outfit combinations that it allows for. When building your wardrobe, go for a mix-and-match approach and always shop with your other clothes in mind.

This simple black outfit is a combination of old and new pieces. The black tunic top from J.Jill has been in my closet for over 3 years. What is new are the faux leather Hayden pants from Peach and the fabulous black mules from Baretraps shoes. Adding the red plaid wrap is a perfect holiday style.

The Graycie black mules from Baretraps Shoes are a perfect addition to your wardrobe essentials! The Baretraps Graycie is a sophisticated, comfortable mule. The buckle strap will showcase your fashion flair. Baretraps collaborated with a leading podiatrist, Dr. Lou Aquino, to design Posture Plus + Technology, a built-in orthotic that cups your heel to give you proper alignment, balance, and comfort.

The second way to style One Outfit

I have lots of wraps but buffalo plaid is a very popular holiday look. Black buffalo plaid is also very popular in Christmas decor. In fact, I just decorated a keeping room for a client using a black buffalo plaid ribbon.

Black buffalo plaid can be worn all winter long and I actually styled the black buffalo plaid I’m wearing 5 ways years ago!

Adding my red bag was all I need for a pop of color.

I don’t have any holiday parties to go to this year as everything has been canceled because of COVID-19. However, I went to lunch yesterday with a few of my golfing friends at our country club. We wore masks until we sat down to eat. This outfit is perfect for a casual holiday get together.

Let’s pray that next December we will have lots of parties to attend. This year has put a crimp on my merrymaking!

  1. These outfits are beautiful! I do have a favorite dress I like to wear for the Holidays, but try and accessorize it differently. The red plaid is very lovely with those fab faux leather pants. They are a great staple! I love the 2nd look too with your added red bag.
