How to Style A Black and White Sweater

Happy Fall! I just returned from Savannah, where I hosted my third Influencers of Midlife Summit. I must admit that I outdid myself! I had some incredible speakers, sponsors, and amazing and supportive women join me in Savannah this year. While in Savannah, I did a photoshoot with four other influencers who collaborate with Chico’s a lot. I recently picked up a lot of cute outfits from Chico’s, including this black and white sweater for fall.

There are different color trends you can wear this season, and one color combination that’s been trending all year is black and white. As we go into fall, I have been picking up different pieces to wear, including black and white. I have never been the one to shy away from wearing black and white for fall. It’s a great transitional color combination between seasons.

How to Style a Black and White sweater

Can you believe that I went into my local Chico’s store looking for accessories and came home with this beautiful Garden Print Elbow-Sleeve Pullover Sweater that is actually more off-white than white? I paired it with Chico’s Juliet Ponte Trim Detail Pants in English Cream. I wore them last year during the holidays. They will be on repeat this year, too! You can easily wear a pair of black pants with the sweater. I  love the monochromatic look. The cohesive color scheme creates an elongating effect that can make you look taller and more confident.

This is a perfect outfit for a casual dinner at home or in a restaurant.

This time, I’m wearing the sweater with a faux leather skirt from Talbots and heels from DSW. I wore the skirt in this collaboration with Talbots last fall. You can’t go wrong with faux leather this year! I really like the length of the skirt because it hits me right above the knee.

Finally, I wore a faux leather jacket as an extra layer, along with my sweater and skirt. The jacket is also old, but I’ve linked a few for you to shop below.
