How I Styled the Nea Maxi Dress for My Trip to Florida
I love a simple summer maxi dress. You can wear it to anything and never goes out of style. In fact, I actually love wearing maxi dresses when I travel because they are as comfortable as they are stylish. While on a recent trip to Florida to see my father, I wore this maxi dress for my trip to Florida. I was packing a small carry on and this dress served as my outfit for my flight and for my dinners out in Marco Island.

This Nea Maxi dress was perfect for a quick 48 hour trip to Florida to see my father in a rehab facility. me. If you have been following me on Instagram or here on my blog post you know that I have been going back and forth to Florida since mid-April to see my father.
I needed to pack light because I was bringing back lots of important documents that belonged to my father. The dress served as my travel and dining out attire.

I really love maxi dresses with a built-in bra. I was concerned as a big-busted woman that I wouldn’t like the built-in bra but it really does give me great support.
Add A Layer to the Nea Maxi Dress
For those of you who like to wear an extra layer over your maxi dress in the summer, you have so many options. I am wearing a cotton cropped jacket that I purchased 6 years ago. I wear it over sleeveless dresses when I am flying or having dinner out with my husband. You can easily wear white cotton or a gauzy linen shirt as an extra layer. I love wearing my white denim jacket over dresses in the summer.
I have seen white tee shirts worn under maxi dresses as a way to wear an extra layer. I have worn a half tee shirt under many of my spaghetti-strapped summer dresses. The half tees work better under strappy dresses because they have an elastic banding to keep the shirt in place.
Bring on the Accessories
If you follow me you know that I’m all about statement jewelry when it comes to accessorizing my outfits. This simple maxi dress is no exception. Summer maxi dresses always look wonderful with summer straw hats. Wearing a large brim summer hat protects our faces from the sun but it’s also a wonderful accessory. My straw hat is over 5 years old but I am adding some great straw hats that would go perfect with this summer dress.
