Grandparent’s Day with Mud Pie Gift

Grandparents Day with Mud Pie Gift

Ladies, for those of you who are blessed with grandchildren, did you know your heart would explode with unconditional love for a grandchild?

This is a collaboration with Mud Pie Gift. All opinions are my own.

Something magical happens when you become a grandparent. You think your greatest unconditional love is for your children but then their babies fill your heart with so much more love.

A mother’s love extends beyond her children and onto their children.

On Sunday we have our own holiday, “Grandparent’s Day” and now I actually celebrate this day with our little Livie Lee. I wasn’t aware of this holiday because I wasn’t a grandparent, but now I’m all for celebrating!

Our home has been transformed by being a grandparent. We have had to purchase toys, books, highchair, crib, baby bowls, bottles, and utensils as well as baby proof our home. It’s like being a new parent all over again.

We now have a room designated as a nursery for Livie and in the corner of our family room sits Livie’s corner filled with toys, small people furniture, and a very special box, “Grandma’s Magic Box” filled with little goodies, books, and tiny toys waiting for Livie’s visit to our home.

We are blessed that we can watch Livie Lee grow up near us in Atlanta. I know many of you do not live near your grandchildren but I am sure you treasure each visit and hold each moment close to your heart.

Each kiss (no matter how messy), hugs, and holding her close melts my heart. My smile is bigger and brighter because of being a Nana.

The joy of being a grandparent is the best part of my second chapter. This is the best time of my life!!

Happy Grandparent’s Day!
