My Chic Summer Poncho Style

My poncho style began back in 2017 when I collaborated with Chico’s. Ever since then, I have been a fan of wearing them. I probably have seven summer ponchos sitting in my closet. Thankfully ponchos are trending again in 2022! I wrote about the poncho trend in March in this post.

Ponchos are such a chic layer in the summer. They hide so many flaws and flow so beautifully! 

Look how beautiful this floral poncho is for the summer! This poncho’s lightweight billowy fabric is patterned with springtime-inspired flowers and foliage in a range of greens, blues, and oranges. It’s sheer, so you must wear a tank or camisole underneath it.

I am wearing lemon-colored pull-on cropped pants that are from Peach. They are still available and on sale! Unfortunately, the jewelry is from Chico’s and is no longer available. But look how perfectly last year’s jewelry from Chico’s goes with the poncho! Chico’s has the best jewelry that can be worn year after year!

How to wear a poncho in the summer

• Look for airy and breathable fabrics and select something in light colors. Ponchos can be paired with a tank or camisole.
• Wear it with cropped pants, capris, or shorts with some summer accessories.
• Layer them over a fitted tank dress or maxi dress.
• Use it as a cover-up when swimming.
• Look for stripes or floral patterns which will complement your summer outfits. Also, go for bright and happy colors for summer.

I will probably wear this outfit on Thursday for Sammy’s birthday dinner. It’s a perfect summer outfit when you want to look CHIC and ELEGANT!
