Cape Style for Fall with Peach
I love the coolness of fall weather but we aren’t ready for coat weather in Atlanta just yet. My go-to coverup is a cape when I’m looking for an added layer in cooler temperatures. It’s a classic that is always in style for fall!
This is a sponsored post with Peach, however, my fashion and opinion are my own.
I love wearing a cape for fall because I can style it in so many ways and I never have to worry about my sweaters which tend to prevent me from wearing a coat. Bulky sweaters work perfectly with capes.
I have been wearing capes for a few years now but they were all over the fashion runways from Chanel to Valentino last spring for the fall fashion shows.
Wearing a cape can create a sophisticated look with little effort. I can’t wait until winter and pull on my leather gloves with this cape. So Audrey Hepburn!
I wore a red cape for my blog post back in January 2018. Read More
How to Wear a Cape
This Nairobi Cape from Peach can be worn for any occasion. I can wear this cape with jeans, leggings, or an evening out for a more dressed up look like I did for work. Don’t be afraid to style it with jeans because a cape will elevate your street style. Have you seen how chic women look wearing a cape?
I accessorized my look today with a scarf (to pull the colors from my tan faux suede skirt) over my Savannah sweater another fabulous item from the Peach fall collection that you have seen me wear so many times already. The black sweater was recently featured in these 2 blog posts: Mad about Plaid and the Perfect Black Top for Fall.
This black and tan color combination is one of my favorites for fall and so timeless. I could have worn this cape with my leopard print skirt too but I am wearing another favorite of my from my closet. Isn’t the laser-cut details on the hemline just wonderful?
I love how cozy and stylish this cape is from Peach.
Do you like to wear capes instead of a coat?
Behind the Scenes
While I was slowly sinking into the gravel during this photoshoot my photographer captured the humor that is sometimes found when we try to look stylish. The sinking wasn’t planned but it made me laugh when I was trying to be serious. You can’t pretend you are perfect when you’re not!

Robin, this cape is so beautiful! I remember the days when I preferred a cape or poncho as my winter outerwear because they are so much more comfortable over bulky sweaters. But now my premenopausal hormones are making me so dang cold all the time that I need heavy coats and lots of layers and I still can’t get warm! But I will wear a cape indoors as part of my outfit. I am loving your styling of this gorgeous piece. And the cut out detail on your suede skirt is so fun. Your last photo is so wonderful! Embracing our imperfections is where our true beauty lies after all! Thanks for linking up with me this week.

Hi, Robin – I love capes! Capes, caftans and kimonos, Oh My! I especially like how the lining contrasts when it peeks out from beneath this cape. Hugs, Angie – http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
Beautiful cape!! I love the belted look!!
It is a beautiful cape. Makes me think of a poncho but with more versatility. Great layer for the south!

It’s a nice garment, and looks great how you’ve worn it. I’ve got a lovely wrap that works a treat too, I wore it on Sunday to a Christening. Thanks for sharing, do stop by the #chicandstylish #linkup on every Thursday x Mummabstylish Jacqui
Jacqui,
Thank you for the invitation to your link up party!
I will pop by today!

Gorgeous cape! I love the belting to control the volume and keep it in place. Now I’m coveting the wine and grey version… May I ask what size you chose? I know nothing about Peach’s fit!
Liz,
This is a great cape for our southern winters and spring!
I am wearing the M/L size which has plenty of room.
You would be a XS/S since you are so petite.
Hugs,
Robin
