At Home with Robin: My Favorite Flocked Christmas Tree from the King of Christmas

Robin Lamonte is sitting by her King of Christmas tree

As you can see I am already in Chrismas decorating mode because I just finished decorating my wellness room for the Atlanta Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse. I am debuting my favorite flocked tree from the King of Christmas in my space at the showhouse and also here in my home.

This is a sponsored post with the King of Christmas, however, my opinions are my own.

This is the second time I have decorated a King of Christmas tree. The first time was 3 years ago for a client who didn’t have time to decorate her home. I was contacted by this woman to decorate her King of Christmas tree as well as her home. You can read more about her home here.

This photo was featured in Elle Decor last year and it’s also part of the King of Christmas marketing material. All the ornaments are from Frontgate and I purchased the gold berry picks, floral picks, and ribbon from Michaels. The French blue and Linen ornaments are sadly sold out.

I really enjoy decorating with flocked trees because they are so dense and show off the ornaments better. They are messy when you put them up so I recommend not wearing velvet or fleece when you first put the tree up. Only after the tree is up you can get into your comfy, cozy, and soft athleisure.

As you can see I’m wearing my wonderful black Sofie sweatshirt and joggers from Peach that you have already seen on this blog post.

Because I love decorating before Thanksgiving because I don’t feel overwhelmed with decorating my home and decorating for commercial and residential clients. I wrote about managing holiday stress last year.

This Christmas tree has over 100 ornaments as well as ribbon and floral holiday picks. All the picks and ribbon were purchased from Michael’s. The ornaments have been collected the last couple of years from a local Marietta store called Casabella and when I did Callanwolde Holiday Designer Showhouse in 2014. Here’s the video showcasing that holiday showhouse.

The tree is now sitting grandly in my wellness room at the Atlanta Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse. It was the perfect size tree for my room and everyone loves the tree in my space! Because it’s flocked it can be messy when I transported it to the showhouse but it has its own tree bag! Not a mess at all! I love tree storage bags, don’t you?

Again I used eucalyptus on the tree for the showhouse, but the color scheme is now blue, gold, white, and cream with a woodlands theme. The ornaments used on this tree were used by me at the Macy’s Tree Trimming Event I spoke at last weekend. I was live on Instagram if you happened to watch me.

  1. Stunning tree, I love the color pallette. I’m glad I found your blog!

  2. Robin, all of these trees are so gorgeous! I love the blue one and the peacock colors on the second one. Absolutely stunning! We are still in the stage where the kids like to decorate the tree so it’s just a mish mash of silly fun kid ornaments. But one day I would love an elegant tree like this! Thanks for sharing and linking up. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Absolutely beautiful! It took me a while to understand what a King of Christmas tree was though. I hadn’t used that brand before.

      Shelley,

I apologize that I wasn’t clear that the King of Christmas was a company.
