4th of July Star-Spangled and Sparkly Style

I love the 4th of July. Our children will be with us on the 4th—one of the most leisurely holidays for me to entertain and cook. I’m keeping it simple with burgers and dogs on the grill. However, I am going to be star-spangled and sparkly for a holiday!
My 4th of July Style

I have always worn holiday-themed colors for our patriotic holidays, but I found the cutest tee shirt from Chico’s that will be perfect to wear now and in the future!
How cute is this Coral Print V-neck tee from Chico’s? It’s perfect for my 4th of July style. This T-shirt would have been ideal for my Jamaican vacation because we were there for Memorial Day. However, the No Droop® Seed Bead Firework Earrings were the perfect touch for my patriotic look. My Patricia Green Boca Slip-On Sandals are one of my favorite sandals for summer. They go with everything!

The Evelina Fringed Denim Pencil Skirt is from Lysse, a new brand that I’m working with this summer. I will share more about Lysse later.
My Table Setting

I’m reusing all my patriotic decor from Michaels, and the dinnerware was featured in this post.
My melamine patriotic dinnerware is used frequently during the summer holidays. It is perfect for outdoor dining and our little grandchildren.

My Menu
Our menu for the 4th of July will be easy and effortless. Our cocktail will be the 4th of July Cosmo Slush. I will also serve grilled chicken breasts, hamburgers, and hot dogs, which are summertime favorites. As always, I love serving potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, and broccoli slaw salad as side dishes. I will serve lemon pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.
4th of July Cosmo Slush

- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 1/2 cups plus 2 Tbsp cranberry juice, divided
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup lemon vodka
- 1/4 cup Cointreau
- Lime wedges, for serving
- Freeze cranberry and lime juice: In a large liquid measuring cup, combine the fresh lime juice and 1 1/2 cups of the cranberry juice. Divide this mixture among two ice cube trays and freeze until the cubes are firm, about 3 hours.
- Blend the ingredients: Once the ice cubes are frozen, transfer them to a blender. Add the frozen strawberries, lemon vodka, Cointreau, and the remaining 2 tablespoons of cranberry juice.
- Puree until smooth: Blend all ingredients until the mixture is thick and soft.
- Serve: Divide the cocktail among four glasses and garnish each with a lime wedge.
