Word of the Year for 2024
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating the end of 2023. In many ways, 2023 was a wonderful year for me, but I am looking forward to improving myself in 2024. I had a recent conversation with a friend about resolutions and how I like to choose a “word” or theme for a year instead. It’s more encompassing and allows for more bandwidth within it. My word of the year for 2024 is thrive.
My Word of the Year
Choosing a word of the year is a great way to set a focus for a new year. Instead of a New Year resolution, focus on your personal goals and aspirations for the new year.
When I thought about last year I found that I have room for improvement and selected one word that encompasses many wonderful intentions.
Thrive
Thrive can mean experiencing growth, success, and fulfillment in many areas of life. This can include physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being.
Thrive can also mean:
- Being energized and feeling valued
- Being productive
- Being open to challenges
- Having the opportunity to learn and grow continuously
- Feeling good about life and yourself
- Being good at something
- Finding your passion and purpose
- Taking care of your health
- Surrounding yourself with positive people
- Embracing challenges and failure
- Living with gratitude and joy
Here are some steps you can take to choose your word for 2024:
- Reflect on the past year
- Think about your values, intentions, and goals for 2024
- Brainstorm
- Sum up your hopes and dreams for 2024 into one meaningful word
What will be your word for 2024?
