Shacket Style for Women Over 50
Ladies, have you tried the latest trend this year, a shacket? I am not a fan of the plaid shackets I have seen in the stores. They are not my style, but I wanted to find a shacket that I can wear this winter that is stylish and fun to wear!
What is a Shacket?
A shacket is a crossover between a shirt and a jacket. It’s usually a little oversized and looks like a shirt, but made from a heavier material. However, while the heavier fabric helps to distinguish this piece of outerwear from a shirt, it’s also not quite a jacket.
I always enjoy wearing trends that are suitable for women over 50. Unfortunately, not everything makes the cut when I go shopping. This is why I shied away from the plaid shackets I saw in many of the stores. I love wearing plaid but not the lumberjack plaid shackets that look like I needed an ax for an accessory. These shirt jackets tend to be oversized and boxy, but I found this Makenna Jacket from Peach perfect for me!
What I like about this jacket is that I can dress it up with wide-leg pants, faux leather pants, or a skirt. Or go casual with jeans or leggings. It’s such a great outer layer!
The jacket is made of faux stretch suede and comes in off-white too. I am wearing a size large, but you can easily size down for a slimmer fit.
What do you think of shackets? Have you tried this trend?
Thanks to Peach for partnering with me on this post. However, all opinions are my own.

That would be more my style too! Haha, had to laugh at the axe comment! Yes, and some look too heavy. This one is very pretty in pink and suits your coloring, not to mention looking lighter! Love it with the pants and those cute mules.
Have a great weekend!
