Navigating Medicare Annual Enrollment As I turn 65 This Year

Friends I am turning 65 in December and I am now eligible for Medicare. I have been getting so many letters and robot calls from insurance companies recently that I didn’t know what my options were. I didn’t know how important it was for me to be well informed when signing up during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period.

 Medicare Annual Enrollment

Medicare Annual Enrollment is coming up from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, so it’s time to get prepared! During this time, you can enroll in Medicare for the first time, drop your plan, or switch plans.

This goes for Original Medicare (Parts A and B), along with Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D (prescription drug plans). So much to know right?

Did you know that Medicare doesn’t cover everything?  I didn’t know that Medicare doesn’t cover prescription drugs, glasses, dental, or long-term care!

I learned about Medicare’s long-term care limits when dealing with my father last spring. Dad had great secondary insurance to help cover his costs and prescriptions during his two-month rehabilitation after his fall in April.

I had used Senior Living as a resource when navigating my journey with my father last April. I knew that this website was a valuable resource for me as I begin to navigate Medicare options during the annual enrollment.

There’s an entire section dealing with Medicare and Medicaid that can help answer your questions about Medicare.
You can even talk to Quote Manage for a free consultation to assist you in getting the right coverage for you during the enrollment period.

It’s so important to take care of our health after 65. But it’s also important that you have secondary health insurance that covers what Medicare doesn’t!

Are you enrolling this year like me or are you over 65 now? I would love to hear your thoughts about your journey with Medicare!

Thanks for stopping by today!
