How to Wear Sweatshirts after 50

With the temperatures dropping I start grabbing sweatshirts out of my closet. Which include hoodies and short-waisted sweatshirts. Not all sweatshirts need to scream that you never put thought into your outfit. Or have references to your favorite colleges, sports teams, or places you have visited. Today I’m styling two sweatshirts from adidas that I will enjoy wearing this winter.

This post is sponsored by adidas. However, all opinions are my own.

How to wear a Sweatshirt after 50

If you’re like me you love to wear sweatshirts in the winter. Yes, I have my team logos on some of mine, but I don’t always want to wear a sweatshirt with a logo on it. I was looking for some fun ones to wear around the house or out shopping and I found two that I like from adidas.

Do you remember when Marimekko was so popular back in the 80s? Marimekko is a Finnish design house founded in 1951. For seventy years, the unmistakable Marimekko prints have been worn as bold badges of positivity and personal empowerment. I was so happy to see adidas partner with Marimekko for a collaboration. This Dolman sleeve sweatshirt is from the adidas x Marimekko collection.

I decided to wear white jeans and sneakers with the top for a casual winter style. The sleeves are meant to be long and I do like the short-waisted sweatshirt.

Unfortunately, this sweatshirt is sold out. However, I have linked a few more from adidas that you may enjoy.

The Oversized Sweatshirt

If you’re going to wear an oversized sweatshirt you need to pair it with jeans, leggings, or joggers. Jeans are always a solid option, regardless of the fit you choose. Denim serves as a compliment to the oversized sweatshirt while accentuating your figure. Any type of fitted bottoms go great with any oversized sweatshirt. If you want to keep the comfort from head to toe, choose sweatpants that are slimmer fitting and tapered at the ankles like joggers.

This Fleece Boyfriend Hoodie is such a pretty shade of pink. The hoodie is so warm and comfortable and I love the front pocket! Unfortunately, the pink hoodie has sold out but comes in two other colors that are still available. I am finding that I need to share my clothes immediately with you otherwise they may be out of stock. I received the sweatshirts back in September but now they are out of stock. Pink is such a popular color that I can understand why this color is out of stock for the hoodie.

Again I’m wearing my white jeans but you can wear any denim blue to go with this top.

  1. I like these sweatshirts. I personally prefer wool sweaters as soon as it gets a little colder. The most important thing in choosing clothes is that they are comfortable for us and made of the best materials.
