Baretraps Sandals Put a Spring in Your Step!

Hello ladies! It’s finally sandal season in Atlanta! Because of the warmer temperatures, I am trading out my shoes to wear sandals! But I don’t just wear any type of sandals as a woman over 60. I want to make sure that my feet are very comfortable and happy. Which is why I just love Baretraps sandals! It’s all about comfort and style as I get older!

This post is sponsored by Baretraps Shoes, however, all opinions are my own.

This week I am seeing more blossoms on my trees and my azaleas. I just love spring flowers and warmer weather.  By mid-May, my gardens will all be in their full glory.

Even though the temperatures fluctuate between the 60s and the 80s, I love wearing sandals. Remember how your feet feel in the fall when you put on your first pair of shoes? I always dread putting on shoes after summer and spring where my feet were free!

Wearing comfortable sandals from Baretraps Shoes makes my feet very happy as an over 50ish woman. I am always writing about comfortable and stylish shoes for women over 50 because it’s so important that shoe companies address both. I can’t believe the foot pain we endure as women wearing expensive designer shoes! Which is why you will never see me wearing them!

The sandal has a nice low wedge design and comes in 6 colors! I selected the denim blue color because I can wear them with so many of my skirts. There is braided detail on the bottom of the sandal and it has a cork wedge.

Why Comfortable Sandals are Important after 50

Even though the shoe style is very important to me as I have gotten older I am now looking for shoes that don’t hurt my feet. My feet can’t take standing for long periods of time if the shoe is designed poorly without any type of orthotic support.

Many women over 50 have some type of foot issue from years of wearing the wrong sandals! Wearing the wrong sandals can exacerbate existing problems such as pain or arthritis in your hips, knees, ankles, or feet. Thin-soled flip flops or thin sandals with no arch support are so bad for women over 50 because they lack any type of foot support. When I wear a fancy sandal with no support, I last an hour in them. I call them my “Sit-down” sandals because standing in them hurt my feet and my back! You probably have a pair of “Sit-down” sandals in your closet. We all wear them to weddings and special events but make sure we take along another pair of comfortable sandals for the dance floor.

That’s why I enjoy sharing with you my favorite shoes from Baretraps. They are built for comfort while looking stylish.

Remember, the right sandal can help prevent, reduce or eliminate foot pain. When you are wearing the right sandal you find yourself happy and able to do more walking or dancing. So, find the right sandal from Baretraps Shoes and put a spring in your step!

I know you would love these sandals Rosemary!
The height is just right for me and very comfortable to stand in.
I may have to wear them for Easter!

  2. Robin, I really like the cork wedge on those shoes as well as the rounded toe – they look like the perfect ‘espadrille’ for spring and summer. Super cute with that plaid skirt and would be equally adorable with pants or shorts. Fantastic!
