Easy Casual Style with Soft Surroundings

Ladies, have you switched to a comfy easy casual style while staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic? It seems every day lately has become an easy casual style kind of day.

Are your days a blur since the “staying at home” practice began two weeks ago? I literally look at my iPhone to see what day it is. So much has changed in our lives since the first week of March when we realized the coronavirus was going to change the world as we know it.

We’ve canceled dinner reservations, travel plans, and get-togethers for the last two weeks but I still get dressed to run to the grocery store or to the pharmacy. (Practicing social distancing and wiping my cart when I shop is my new normal) What is so sad to see are all the empty stores shuttered because we are no longer shopping anymore.

Easy Casual is the New Spring Fashion Trend

Our easy casual style is a staple in our closet. We all have a pair of jeans and a comfortable top to wear at home or for the quick trips to the grocery stores to “hunt” for our food.  Jeans and a cute top has always been my daily style even before the social distancing began.

Are you like me when it comes to checking on your weight by pulling on your favorite jeans? Jeans are my barometer for staying the same size for the last 15 years. I actually put on jeans to make sure they still fit and if they don’t I diet! (My breasts, well that’s a whole different story!)

Did you know that getting dressed in something other than athletic wear will lift your mood? Because if you take a shower, put on makeup and get dressed even while staying at home, this will help you with feeling anxious or depressed while staying at home. Keeping a normal routine is so important even if we have no place to go. I wrote about getting dressed to show up in this post.

Today’s easy casual style

This siesta tunic fits my needs for a quick trip to the store. This tunic is so cozy and soft! Because the fabric is brushed baby French terry styled with a petal hem, raw edges, and a fresh attitude. It also comes in aubergine and aqua. I might have to get those colors too! I am wearing cropped jeans with a weathered look also from Soft Surroundings.
