Bubblegum Pink Is This Spring’s Fashion Flavor

Happy Spring! Finally, spring is here and it’s time to start wearing our favorite spring colors! Ladies, did you know that pink, especially bubblegum pink is going to be the color for spring and summer this year? I didn’t but then I started to notice it in the stores this month. What better way to welcome spring by styling bubblegum pink with double denim!

Believe it or not, bubblegum pink is a surprisingly versatile color. It looks great with denim, white, black, navy, gray, and even red. Wearing bubblegum pink is one of the easiest ways to brighten up your wardrobe this spring.

What is Bubblegum Pink?

I have no idea who comes up with the pink names for fashion trends but it seems bubblegum pink is the “IT” color for 2021. Bubblegum pink is not Fuschia pink but a bright pink that can be worn in so many ways. It’s such a happy feminine color that I think looks so good on women over 50. I think it actually makes us look youthful when we wear pink.

Pink is such a wonderful color to wear year-round.  For instance, we tend to wear a lot of pink in October for breast cancer awareness because of the pink ribbon. I am so happy to see so many shades of pink in the stores for spring.

I styled this bubblegum pink stripe top with white jeans and my blue jean jacket. I can even reverse the denim by wearing a white jean jacket and blue jeans. Bubblegum pink and white is a classic color combination.

The color pink is the color of universal love of oneself and of others.

It’s so important to love yourself as you get older. Self-love can influence how you handle the challenges you face over 50 in different aspects of your life, your overall happiness, and your mental and physical health. How many times do you look in the mirror and see an old woman looking back at you? As we age our body ages and we don’t see our 30-year-old self in the mirror. But in our minds and hearts, we are still young and vibrant!

Pink also represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, and approachability. When someone is wearing pink don’t you think that they look approachable?

You can’t go wrong wearing pink. With so many wonderful shades of pink wear the shade that looks good on you and your skin tone. It doesn’t have to be bubblegum pink like I’m wearing today. You can wear a soft pink or go vibrant with a Fuschia pink. Just remember that the color pink goes well with almost all color combinations.

Do you love wearing pink? What is your favorite shade of pink?

I am tickled pink that you stopped by today!

Happy spring!
