Jude Connally: Stylish Dresses for Women Over 60

A New Fashion Find I Think Women Over 60 Will Love

I’m always a little skeptical when someone tells me I need to try a new fashion brand.

After 60, I’ve learned what I like to wear—and just as importantly, what I don’t.

I want clothes that make me feel feminine and put together, but I also want to be comfortable. I want to be able to travel in them, go to dinner in them, wear them to an event, or simply enjoy a beautiful day without feeling like I’m dressed in something that is trying too hard.

So when I discovered Jude Connally, I was curious.

And then I tried the dresses.

I have three to share with you, and what struck me first was how easy they are to wear. There’s something about slipping on a dress and instantly feeling pulled together without having to think about what goes with it.

That is exactly the kind of fashion I appreciate these days.

Three Dresses, Three Different Moods

This first dress immediately caught my eye because it feels polished without being fussy. I could see myself wearing it for lunch, dinner, traveling, or simply when I want to look a little more dressed up.

Wearing:

And I love that I don’t have to be a certain age to wear it.

That may sound obvious, but women over 60 are still too often given the message that we should dress to somehow disguise our age.

I’ve never subscribed to that idea.

The second dress has a completely different feel, but it has that same ease I look for in my wardrobe.

Wearing:

I’ve reached a point where comfort is non-negotiable—but comfortable doesn’t have to mean casual, and it certainly doesn’t have to mean boring.

Give me a dress that moves with me, feels good on, and still makes me feel stylish, and I’m happy.

And then there’s this one.

This is the kind of dress that reminds me why I still love fashion so much.

Wearing:

At this stage of life, I’m not dressing to look younger. I’m dressing because I enjoy clothes. I enjoy putting an outfit together. I enjoy finding something that makes me feel good when I look in the mirror.

And I think that is something we should talk about more.

Fashion Doesn’t Have an Expiration Date

One of the things I love most about getting older is that I know myself better.

I know what silhouettes I feel good in. I know what colors make me happy. I know when I want to be casual and when I want to dress up. And I’m much less concerned about whether someone thinks something is “age appropriate.”

If I like it, if it fits my lifestyle, and if it makes me feel good, that’s enough.

That’s why I wanted to share Jude Connally with you.

Not because I think women over 60 need another list of rules about what they should wear.

Quite the opposite.

I think we deserve more choices.

More beautiful clothes. More comfortable clothes. More fun.

And maybe a few new fashion discoveries along the way.

These three dresses are my introduction to Jude Connally, and I have a feeling they won’t be the last pieces you see me wearing.
