3 Ways to Style a White Linen Skirt

Welcome to June! Sorry that I haven’t been posting, but we were with our family in Saint Augustine Beach for Memorial Day weekend and just returned home. I will share photos I took on the beach soon. If you’re like me, many of you have special occasions and weddings this month, from celebrating 37 years of marriage to heading out to Rhode Island for a wedding. Many of the weddings are being held outdoors this month, and many are not formal ones. That is why I thought I would share three ways to style a white linen skirt for your next special occasion.

I know many of you would never dream of wearing white to a wedding, but it’s perfectly fine if it’s a skirt, pants, or blazer. Wearing a white dress is still taboo unless the bride requests it.  As long as you’re not wearing white from head to toe, you’ll be fine. I’ve worn a white skirt and accessories to weddings, and as far as I know, it was not frowned upon at all.

3 ways to Style a White Linen Skirt

In this post, you have already seen me wearing this white linen skirt with the Navy Striped Sweater Trim Linen Tee. White linen skirts should be a wardrobe staple for the summer. You can dress up a linen skirt for special occasions or go casual for a date night.

1. Linen Skirt with Floral Paisley Shirt

I waited for my hydrangeas to bloom when I purchased this Cotton Button-Front Shirt – Charming Floral, from Talbots at the end of April. The print’s colors look terrific with the Linen A-line Midi Skirt from Chico’s. You can button up the shirt or make it your extra layer like I did over Chico’s Microfiber Tank.

For the jewelry, I am wearing the Jute Teardrop Earrings, the Gold Tone Collar Necklace, the Gold Tone Stretch Bracelet Set, the Navy Enamel Stretch Bracelet, and the Navy & Gold Tone Link Bracelet. Unfortunately, the Navy Click Bangle is out of stock. My navy Calvin Klein sandals are seven years old.

I should warn you that the linen skirt isn’t lined, so I recommend wearing a slip underneath it or never standing in the bright sun!

2. No-Iron Shirt with the White Linen Skirt

You saw me wearing this No Iron™ Linen Reef 3/4-Sleeve Shirt in this red, white, and blue post.

Again, I am knotting up the shirt in the front to wear it over the white Microfiber Tank. I think it is such a wonderful way to wear a button-down shirt in the summer.

Jewelry that is still available to purchase are the Leaf Hinge Bracelet, the Reversible Mother of Pearl Necklace, and the No Droop™ White Petal Earrings

Unfortunately, everything else is out of stock.

The Lucite Heels finish off the outfit.

3. Black and White Style

This 3D Ruffle Front Tee is the perfect tee shirt for your next special occasion. It’s on sale, so don’t wait! The woven ruffle detail on the front elevates the easy-knit body. I decided to wear Chico’s Faux Pearl Drop Earrings and the Reversible Mother of Pearl Necklace to elevate the outfit.
