What I Wore at the Meritage Resort in Napa Valley

There’s something about Napa Valley that inspires effortless style. Between vineyard views, warm sunshine, and elegant evenings, packing for a stay at the beautiful The Meritage Resort and Spa calls for pieces that feel polished but relaxed.

When I was invited to experience the resort with four other influencers, I wanted my wardrobe to reflect the setting: sophisticated, comfortable, and perfect for everything from wine tastings to sunset dinners.

Here’s a look at what I wore during my stay in wine country.

I was invited to Napa as a guest of The Meritage Resort and Spa, along with four other influencers, for a curated wine country experience. To make the trip even more special, I was styled for the getaway with beautiful pieces from Chico’s and elegant jewelry from Julie Vos. From vineyard strolls to dinners at the resort, the outfits perfectly captured the effortless sophistication of Napa Valley style. There’s something about wine country that calls for chic, comfortable pieces—and these looks were ideal for everything from daytime wine tasting to relaxed evenings at the resort.

Travel Day: Comfortable but Chic

Wearing for Travel from Park City to Napa: Zenergy® Twill Rain Jacket, a yellow scalloped edge sweater, Chico’s Brigitte Slim Mari Bloom Crop with Journee Women’s Buckle Slingback .

My jewelry is from Julie Vos in the new Melon color.  The Laguna Stone Cuff, the Laguna Gold Statement Cuff, the Astor 6-in-1 Gold Charm Earring, and the Honeybee Gold Statement Necklace.

Wine country travel style should always start with comfort. My travel look was built around soft fabrics, relaxed tailoring, and a spring palette that felt polished the moment I arrived.

lightweight rain jacket layered over floral, cropped pants and a yellow, scalloped-edged sweater was perfect for the flight and the drive into Napa. I paired it with comfortable pink flats for an easy, pulled-together look.

The goal was simple: arrive looking stylish yet ready to step immediately into vacation mode.

Afternoon Wine Tasting: Effortless Resort Style

Wine tastings call for effortless style. Think elevated casual with pieces that move easily from indoor tastings to strolling through the vineyards.

For our vineyard picnic, I wanted something that felt relaxed but still polished for wine country. I chose an easy, breezy look from Chico’s that was perfect for sitting among the vines, enjoying a picnic lunch, and soaking in the Napa sunshine.

I wore  Chico’s Boyfriend Crepe Blazer, the Skinny Ankle Jeans, the  No Iron Printed Linen Shirt, over a Microfiber Tank with Blue Penny loafers– an outfit that felt relaxed yet elegant. A crossbody handbag and jewelry completed the look.

Napa style tip: layers are essential. Mornings and evenings can cool down quickly, so a lightweight jacket or cardigan is always a good idea.

Dinner at Ember Steak: Classic Evening Style

Dinner at Ember Steak called for something a little more elevated.

I chose a classic evening look that felt timeless rather than overly dressed up. An Embroidered 3/4 Sleeve Sweater paired with the Brigitte™ Slim Mari Bloom CropPants

along with Julie Vos Jewerly and elegant heels.

Another option with the Cropped pants is the Poplin Tie-Front Top.

One of the things I love most about Napa is that the style is never overly formal. It’s refined but relaxed—exactly the type of fashion that lets you enjoy the moment.

Spa & Crush Lounge: Casual Fun

After a relaxing spa afternoon at the resort’s underground cave spa, the evening took a fun turn at the lively Crush Lounge. Bowling, cocktails, and laughter called for something stylish but comfortable.

I opted for a relaxed look—Chico’s Embroidered Frayed Denim Trucker Jacket over the Poplin Tie-Front Top, with a Blooming Brush Oblong Scarf and the Skinny Ankle Jeans. My silver turquise jewelry is also from Julie Vos. I’m wearing the Hydra Silver Triple Hoop, the Solara Silver Cuff, and the  Honeybee Silver Statement Necklace.

It was the perfect combination of cozy and chic for an evening that was all about enjoying time with friends.

What I Wore on the Wine Train

One of the highlights of the trip was our experience on the iconic Napa Valley Wine Train. Stepping aboard feels like stepping back into a glamorous era of travel, so it’s the perfect opportunity to lean into a slightly more polished look.

For the wine train, I chose an outfit that felt classic and comfortable while still being photo-ready. Think elegant but effortless—something that fits the vintage charm of the train cars and the sweeping vineyard views outside the windows.

My look included:

The key is choosing pieces that feel refined without being overly formal. You’ll want to be comfortable while enjoying the ride, the wine tastings, and of course taking plenty of photos.

Wine country style tip: neutrals always look stunning against the Napa Valley backdrop.

Shopping in Napa

For an afternoon of shopping and strolling around Napa, I opted for another chic yet comfortable look from Chico’s, perfect for exploring boutiques and enjoying a leisurely afternoon in wine country. I love outfits that transition easily from daytime sightseeing to a spontaneous glass of wine on a patio, and this one did exactly that.  The look felt polished, timeless, and perfectly suited for a stylish day in Napa Valley.

What I Wore to Bed at the Meritage

After full days exploring Napa Valley, slipping into cozy sleepwear at The Meritage Resort and Spa felt like the perfect way to end the evening.

When I travel, I always pack sleepwear that feels just a little luxurious. It’s one of those small details that make a hotel stay feel even more special.

For bedtime, I chose from the Cool Nights Collection from Soma:

There’s something wonderful about waking up slowly in a beautiful resort—opening the curtains to vineyard views and enjoying that first quiet cup of coffee before the day begins.

Because travel style doesn’t end when the day is over… it continues right into the most comfortable part of the evening.

Final Thoughts

Packing for Napa Valley is about finding that perfect balance between relaxed and refined. Every outfit should feel effortless, comfortable, and just a little elevated—much like the experience itself at The Meritage Resort and Spa.

From vineyard tastings to beautiful dinners and spa days, each look was designed to complement the setting while staying true to my personal style.

Because the best travel fashion isn’t about trends—it’s about feeling confident wherever the journey takes you.
