Wedding Gowns for Women over 50

I recently went shopping for wedding gowns for a formal summer wedding, and can you believe that I found them on Amazon?

Why did I choose Amazon as my source for wedding gowns? Even though I rarely shop for clothes on Amazon, I noticed that well-respected brands like Alex Evenings Dresses and Adrianna Papell sell formal dresses there. I like the fact that you can try them on at home and return them for free!

Sizing: For all these dresses, I went up a size because I found a size 10 a bit snug on me. In fact, I had ordered a size 10 that I couldn’t even zip up!

Adrianna Papell’s Women’s Floral Beaded Godet Gown was another gown I selected to try on. This beautiful wedding gown has a lovely hand-sewn beading and is finished with a frothy skirt. It moves so beautifully and is perfect for the dance floor!

3. Alex Evenings Women’s Satin Ballgown Dress with Pockets

Do you cry at weddings like I do? This Satin Ballgown from Alex Evenings is the perfect dress for the Mother of the Bride or Groom because it has pockets for your tissues! Brilliant design! This was labeled buff, but it looks more like pewter. The flowy satin skirt has a high low hemline that I really like.

4. Alex Evenings Women’s Long Fit and Flare Dress Godet Detail

This rose gold Alex Evenings Women’s Long Fit and Flare Dress Godet Detail is the least expensive of all the dresses I am sharing today. Can you believe that it’s under $100.00 if you buy it used? Because you can return dresses, Amazon will resell them as used dresses.  This really saves you on the cost of a gown. The regular price is $269.00. Another beautiful dress from Alex Evenings!

5. Adrianna Papell Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Back Beaded Gown

Here’s another Adrianna Papell wedding gown that I think you will like. The Adrianna Papell Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Back Beaded Gown is lovely, but it’s on the long side, so you will need to wear high heels. This is the champagne/silver color, but it comes in three other colors. The elaborately beaded floor-length gown has a scoop back and three-quarter sleeves.
