Resort Style | Blue Floral Wide-Leg Pants
Ladies, this week it’s all about resort-style on the blog! I bet some of you are ready to book a room at your favorite resort after the crazy weather we experienced last week! The freezing temperatures, snow, ice, power outages, and the lack of water that many of you experienced last week may have you booking a vacation at the beach! I think it’s time ladies to pull out the resort wear and think about heading to a warm and sunny resort!
This post is sponsored by Soft Surroundings however all opinions are my own.
What a cold and wintery week we have just experienced over most of the United States! So many of you have been without power and water that sharing this fun wide-leg pant outfit from Soft Surroundings just might convince you to pack a bag! I am planning a trip to Hilton Head and wanted to share with you these wonderful floral wide-leg pants from the Soft Surroundings spring collection that are perfect for warmer temperatures.
Can Short Women wear Wide-Leg Pants?
A general rule of thumb for petite women is to avoid wearing palazzo or wide-leg pants.
However, rules can be broken if you do it correctly.
Wide-legged pants draw one’s eyes from left to right horizontally, and that does the opposite of lengthening short women.
When looking for wide-leg pants select vertical prints or details such as vertical stripes and avoid busy prints which will make your petite body look overwhelmed.
The best fabrics for petite wide-leg pants are those with soft and flowy fabrics such as rayon, jersey, or even silk. Soft fabrics will hug your curve better than stiff fabrics.
That said, if you are wearing petite wide-leg pants on vacation, then it is okay if you want to pair them with wedges. When it comes to resort wear for Petites, comfort is key!
The Outfit
The Wide Leg Pants
I had so much fun picking out these Petalo Wide Leg Pants from the Soft Surroundings spring collection to wear at Hilton Head in March. I am so happy that the wide-leg pants are trending again.
These sublime wide-leg pants have a gorgeous floral print and a feel-good silhouette that’s just right for poolside, drinks on the terrace, resort weekends, and so much more.
Wear well-fitted tops with wide-leg pants
If you are wearing palazzo pants which already adds a ton of volume to your bottom half, then you should go with fitted tops.
I had a navy shirt in my closet that went well with the pants. The pants will also look great with my white short sleeve tops. If I had a white long scarf or white wide belt it would have been lovely to wear over the long shirt.
How fun are these side splits on the pants? The pants have a lovely flow when you walk in them. They will be perfect for going out to dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant, Ombra on Hilton Head.
Read more about Ombra in this post.
Date Night Friday in Hilton Head
I finished off this look with my sandals with a heel. Wedges and platform sandals would also work.
What do you think of these Petalo wide-leg pants?
Thank you for stopping by!
Blue floral wide-leg pants are perfect for a resort style look—they’re breezy, comfortable, and add a pop of color. Pair them with a simple white or neutral top to let the floral print stand out, and add woven accessories, like a straw bag or espadrilles, for a chic, beach-ready vibe. Ideal for lounging or sightseeing in style!
Absolutely love these pants. Like you I love wide legged trousers. These are so vibrant. No holidays in Ireland until at least June. Still in lockdown.
Love how these look like a skirt as you move!
Robin, these are stunning – I love the blue and of course that slit! Super chic!
