How We Styled The White Tank Top With Jeans

Every once in a blue runway, the most in-your-face trend revolves around an item you already know and love (and have in your closet). It’s not polarizing or wallet-breaking, and it’s so versatile that it appeases the harshest closet critics. In the case of Fall 2022, we’re talking about a white tank top. I’ve invited my daughter Lisa to join me this year on some of my fashion posts to show how a forty-five-year-old woman would style an outfit or piece of clothing I’m wearing as a sixty-five-year-old woman. We both have a different sense of style, so I thought it would be fun to do this with her. So today, we’re styling a white tank top with jeans.

While the sudden embrace of such a humble staple seems like something thought up by American brands, it’s the folks across the pond pushing the chic version of the Hanes staple.

How I style a white tank top with jeans.

Wide-legged jeans are trending again this year, so I ditched my skinny jeans and went with these oversized flared jeans to go with my white tank top and kimono.

Since white tank tops are so basic, there are no limits to how to wear them. So I decided to wear my favorite coin necklace to pull out the golden yellow color in the kimono.

Lisa has a minimalist sense of style and doesn’t wear jewelry as I do. It’s probably because she’s used to wearing gym clothes as a fitness instructor. Lisa is wearing a Jockey tee shirt and jeans from Target. She borrowed my camo jacket and snake print sneakers to finish her look. It’s so fun when my daughter raids my CLOSET for style inspiration!
