How to Style A Tweed Jacket for A Casual Look
One of my favorite jackets for fall and winter is the classic tweed jacket. The bouclé tweed jacket made famous by Coco Chanel has seen many iterations over the decades but has retained its iconic status. It was recently shown in the fall/winter 2022 fashion shows. Thankfully, there are so many ways to wear a tweed jacket that make you look chic! Tweed can be worn any time as it’s easy to dress up or down. Of course, you can never go wrong wearing a tweed jacket with a dress or skirt, but I thought today I would style my tweed jacket for a more casual look.
Last week, I was on a mission to add another tweed blazer to my wardrobe. My closet is full of solid-colored blazers, but I was looking for another tweed jacket. I have a black tweed blazer that I have worn many times. The black tweed blazer was featured in these two posts. Here and this post.
This time I found a tweed jacket that would look perfect dressed up or worn casually with jeans and faux suede jeans.
Tweed Jacket with Faux Suede Jeans
This colorful jacket from Ann Taylor is as versatile as it is beautiful. The nubby fabric gives it a beautiful texture, and the colors give you many options to wear for the top underneath. This jacket has a light fringe trim and a one-button front closure.
I styled the jacket with a denim shirt and faux suede jeans. Denim shirts look great with a classic tweed jacket. You can easily replace the denim shirt with a solid color top too.
I wore leopard print heels to finish my outfit. Flats would also work with the outfit.
Or with Jeans
This time I am wearing a pumpkin-colored mock neck sleeveless top hidden in my closet for so long that I forgot I had it! It was almost going to be in my donation pile of clothes until I purchased this jacket. It goes perfectly with the jacket, but I have so many colors to choose from because of the many colors of the boucle yarn.
Again because I tucked in my shirt, I am wearing a belt with my pull-on jeggings.

I am in love with this jacket Robin. It’s seriously the kind that always tickles my fancy. And I love how you showcased more than just one way to wear it.
