Floral Print for A Spring Affair | Clara Sunwoo
Ladies, I hope are looking forward to the warmer weather after this week’s winter storms across the United States. My Texas family has been without power since yesterday. As my brother in Dallas says next week the temperatures will be in the 60’s. Spring cannot come soon enough! This week’s posts are all about floral print. Today I am sharing another floral print that is perfect for a spring affair from Clara Sunwoo.
This post is sponsored by Clara Sunwoo, however, all opinions are my own.
I had a follower write to me this week asking me what should she wear to an outdoor wedding in Florida that is casual chic.
The first thing that comes to my mind is anything floral for a Florida wedding.
The bolder, the brighter, and the more impactful the floral print seem to be the only way forward for spring. I am noticing lots of floral prints that are large-scale for 2021. I selected this top from Clara Sunwoo because it’s perfect for a date night or any special event that calls for you to dress in “casual chic” attire.
Poppy Print Floral Top
This Poppy Print Side Tie Waist Top is from the new spring collection for Clara Sunwoo.
This soft silky knit wrinkle-free fabric is perfect for your next special event! I love the side tie. It accentuates your waist!
Because it’s wrinkle-free it’s perfect to pack in your suitcase if you are traveling to an outdoor wedding like my reader is this spring.
I am also wearing the Kick Front Slit Pants which are on repeat again! Wearing a medium in both.
I am not wearing any necklace because it would get lost on the print. However, I never forget earrings and a bracelet to complete this look!
How to wear large floral print if you’re busty (like me)
So many fashion stylists warn women with a large chest and a regular bottom like I have not to wear large floral print tops. I am an apple shape. I am supposed to accentuate my bottom and not my top. Which I disagree with their opinions. I believe women who are built like me can wear large floral tops if the fabric is soft, silky, and drapes nicely on our bodies. At my age, I know what looks good and what doesn’t on me. I bet you do too!
Consider the size of the floral print for your body
General guidelines: Large prints and horizontal stripes increase volume, whereas small prints and vertical stripes decrease volume.
If you are petite, a huge floral or a floral print with the florals spaced wide apart like I am wearing may overwhelm your frame.
It’s best to stick to smaller floral prints.
If you’ve been graced with the gift of height, it’s time to embrace floral prints.
For those who are curvy and tall or straight and tall, you can wear larger floral prints.

If the large floral print is not something you would wear I have selected a few tops that would also work.

HI RObin!
This is a beautiful and elegant look on you! I love the floral and how it looks painted , the colors are lovely! The slit detail is something I love too, with your trousers.
Enjoy your week!

You look stunning in this bright floral top, Robin! I love your tips for busty gals (like me)! The side tie is very flattering. I own a few Clara Sunwoo garments, and the quality and flow of the fabric are beautiful and flattering; even a floral dress I will feature soon! Happy almost spring!
These prints are all so lovely! I love the colors in the print you’re wearing. I tend to prefer the smaller floral prints, but perhaps I should branch out?
Oh Robin, this is so elegant! I am over the moon in love with those pants. That kick slit is really something – so much better than a skirt yet so sultry with a bit of leg peeking out. And that floral is so vibrant! Stunning!
