Fashion: Say Goodbye to Summer Fashion! Or Not?
Who made up this silly fashion rule in the first place?
So here are my favorite summer fashions for 2016:
I wrote about wearing a bikini over the age of 50 in an old blog post and if you didn’t see back in June, (I merged 2 websites and some posts are gone now),here’s a brief summary:
I still prefer wearing a bikini in the privacy of my own backyard, but wear a one piece in public because I haven’t embraced my new menopausal body.
It has nothing to do with what is proper for a 50ish woman, just what I think makes me look good.
I love this kimono style jacket I wore at the Cloister for a date weekend with my husband.
Another favorite outfit at the Cloister was this great denim top with the buttons on the back. Both outfits had more details going than coming. {Either that or I found something to look at on my terrace at the Cloister which required me to pose this way. Yeah right.}
I prefer to wear bright fun colors when I workout. Alone in a gym at the Cloister in Sea Island.
Or playing golf on Wednesdays with my 9 holers. My golf game suffers from lack of playing time due to my interior design business, but I always try to look fashionable on the golf course.
My easy breezy fashion may stay in my closet until October. Farmer’s Almanac predicts a warmer fall.
I am leaving for Europe this week and I’m packing all my Boho chic outfits. The temperature will be in the 70’s and these outfits are low maintenance since they are already wrinkled.

I’ll pack this dress for dinners on the boat. I have a wonderful short Asian jacket to wear if the weather cools down.

A must have to pack on my trip is this outfit from the Chico’s Travelers Collection. These wrinkle free and packable Horizontal black stripe palazzo pants will go with long sleeve or sleeveless tops. Even into the winter here in Atlanta.
