At Home with Robin: Halloween Decor and Fall Table Settings

Do you still decorate your home for Halloween?

Leopard print dinnerware is perfect for a fall table

I love the fall table decorations but in October I start adding to my fall decor with Halloween decorations that have been used for many years when the children were little and we lived in New Jersey.

The leopard plates from Chico’s ( no longer available) were featured last fall in my tailgating blog post.

Leopard print is such a fun print to add to any fall decor. You can easily find plates with leopard print or purchase paper plates for your fall entertaining.

Halloween Decor

I love decorating for fall and Halloween because Christmas begins for me in the first week of November. (Trust me I am doing a collaboration which you will see at the end of October with a Christmas tree company) Halloween is for children and I love decorating my home with Halloween decorations I have used throughout the years.

Most of the decorations you see on my ladder shelves have come from Target, Home Goods, and Michaels over the past 15 years. I collect new pieces every year to add to the Halloween decor.

The 2 new additions this year are these adorable witches I purchased from Home Goods. I love adding to my Halloween collection. Since we have a little granddaughter, I want to decorate my home for Livie and share this Halloween holiday with her.

Since all my decorations are vintage or not on the internet, I am sharing shoppable Halloween decor with you here.

  1. I love all of your Halloween decor and how you’ve blended everything you’ve collected over the years! It’s so fun to find vintage pieces; I like hunting for those at our local antique emporium. I put my fall decor out at the beginning of August because I also decorate for Christmas in early November!

  2. I don’t do Halloween now that the kiddos were grown, but if I did it would be this grown up version like yours!

  3. Can’t wait to see your collab for your Christmas tree! Super exciting! Thanks for sharing all these fall/halloween ideas!

We LOVE Halloween! It’s our wedding anniversary… Hallowversary! We have always gone big on H’ween decor, but have shifted from spooky (when our boys were teens) to more colorful and playful now that we have grands! It’s time to get “Slim” (our skeleton) out of the roof and prop him in a chair in the dining room…

Your ladder shelving is a lovely combination of extravagant and fun! And those leopard plates? Meow!

  5. So many wonderful ideas. You are very creative and I love how you mix colors and textures.

So beautiful Robin. I’m a complete nut head when it comes to laying the table and getting everything to look right. I spend hours just trying to remember which side the knives and forks should go 😀

  7. So many fun ideas here! Thank you for the inspiration!!

      Melanie,

Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, I thought leopard print plates would look nice on my fall table.

I enjoy decorating for her but she’s still too little to understand why Nana has all these pumpkins everywhere!

      Hugs,
      Robin

  9. Since I have a son whose birthday is October 31, we don’t really do Halloween. We’re busy with cake, candles, and birthday stuff! But I do like your leopard plates. Very cool.

      Eowyn,

Yes, it’s hard to celebrate birthdays on holidays. You want to keep the day speical for the birthday child.
I have 2 children who were born on holidays, Christmas and New Year’s day so I understand where you’re coming from!

The Halloween experience is so much fun again now that we have “Grandkids”! I really started adding more and more Halloween into my autumn decor for our boys. And our neighborhood is very much into the Halloween spirit!

      Rosemary,

I think you are correct about having grandchildren making us decorate our homes all over again.
I want my grandchildren to enjoy coming to Nana’s house for Halloween!
Holiday decorating has always been my love for so many years .

      Hugs,
      Robin
