Cruise Packing for Women Over 60: The PLANET by Lauren G Clothing Pieces I’m Taking

More PLANET by Lauren G Clothes I’ll Be Packing for My Cruise

Packing for a cruise is always a little different than packing for any other trip. I want pieces that feel special enough for dinners and evenings on board, comfortable enough for long days of exploring, and versatile enough to wear in multiple ways.

And, of course, I want to feel like myself.

That’s why I’ll be packing more pieces from PLANET by Lauren G Clothing for my upcoming cruise.

I’ve shared some of my PLANET by Lauren G favorites before, and the more I wear this brand, the more I appreciate its unique approach to style. These are not clothes designed to blend into the background. They have interesting shapes, beautiful details, and an effortless sophistication that makes getting dressed feel creative rather than complicated.

Clothes That Make a Statement Without Trying Too Hard

One of the things I love about PLANET by Lauren G Clothing is that the pieces have personality. The silhouettes are often architectural and unexpected, yet still comfortable and easy to wear.

At this stage of my life, I am much more interested in clothing that makes me feel confident than clothing that simply follows whatever trend happens to be popular at the moment. I love a statement piece, especially when it doesn’t require a lot of fussing or accessorizing.

That is exactly why these pieces are making their way into my cruise suitcase.

Wearing:

A great outfit can be as simple as one interesting top paired with comfortable pants and a fabulous pair of shoes. Add jewelry, a great bag, and suddenly you are ready for dinner, a show, or an evening of meeting new people on the ship.

Packing for a Cruise Means Thinking About Versatility

Cruise packing is all about making smart choices. Even though I love fashion, I don’t want to pack an entirely different outfit for every single occasion.

I look for pieces that can do double duty.

A top I wear with pants one evening might look completely different paired with a skirt or layered under a jacket another day. A dramatic piece can become more casual with simple accessories, while the right jewelry and shoes can take it from daytime exploring to dinner in minutes.

Wearing:

That versatility is especially important when you’re trying to keep your suitcase manageable.

Planet’s relaxed silhouettes also make the clothes ideal for travel. Comfort matters to me, but that doesn’t mean I want to sacrifice style. I want to be able to walk around a new city, sit through a long dinner, and enjoy everything about the experience without constantly thinking about what I’m wearing.

Elevated Chic Is Definitely Coming Along

For this cruise, I’m leaning into pieces that feel elevated, chic, and a little unexpected.

You know I love leather and a little edge in my wardrobe, but style has many moods. Sometimes I want biker chic. Sometimes I want classic and sophisticated. And sometimes I want an outfit with an artistic silhouette that does all the talking.

These Planet by Lauren G pieces give me that option.

I love mixing them with accessories that reflect my personal style rather than trying to create a head-to-toe “look” exactly as someone else would. That’s the fun of getting older and becoming more confident in your style. You begin to understand what works for you—and you stop worrying quite so much about whether everyone else approves.

Fashion should be personal.

Why I’m Excited to Wear These on My Cruise

Wearing:

Travel gives us an opportunity to step outside our everyday routines, and I think that includes how we dress.

There is something about getting ready for dinner on a cruise, knowing you’re going somewhere beautiful and meeting people from all over the world, that makes me want to wear something memorable. Not because I need to impress anyone, but because getting dressed can be part of the experience.

These are the kinds of clothes that make me excited to open my suitcase.

Wearing:

They’re comfortable enough for travel, interesting enough for a special evening, and versatile enough to style in different ways throughout the trip. Most importantly, they feel like me.

And that is always my number-one rule when I’m packing.

Wearing:

I’ll be sharing more of what I wear on the cruise, including how I style these Planet pieces, so stay tuned. If you’re planning a cruise or another special trip, I hope this inspires you to pack a few pieces that make you feel confident, comfortable, and excited to get dressed.

Because no matter where we’re going, we’re never too old to have a little fun with fashion.

What are your favorite pieces to pack when you travel? Do you plan every outfit in advance, or do you like to mix and match once you arrive?
