This week I am headed to New Jersey to attend my niece’s wedding.  She was supposed to have been married last summer but had to reschedule it due to COVID restrictions. I bet you’re going to a few weddings this summer that was postponed last year. Today I am going to share 3 dresses you can wear to a wedding this summer from Stein Mart.

3 Stein Mart Dresses You Can Wear to a Wedding

Stein Mart has so many beautiful dresses to wear from formal weddings to casual affairs this summer! I happen to be going to a “Black-Tie optional” wedding in New Jersey this weekend and a semi-formal wedding in August for my other niece.

1. Formal Wedding Dress from Stein Mart

We received our invitation for the wedding this weekend as “Black-tie optional.” So, a tuxedo isn’t required for men, but the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate. The choices for women are the same as with black-tie: a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit. As far as women are concerned, there’s not much of a difference between black-tie attire and black-tie optional attire.

I will be wearing this beautiful navy Chiffon Duster Cape Surplice Wrap Dress from Stein Mart this weekend. You can’t go wrong with a cape dress to do the talking; featuring a v-neckline, front slit, wrap silhouette with brooch detailing, and a chiffon cape at the back in all its dreamy glory. It also comes in black and charcoal colors. For sizing purposes, I am wearing a size 10.

I love the cape because it covers my arms and it flows as I walk. Very chic. The side slit is just enough to make the dress sexy.

2. Semi-Formal Dress for a Wedding from Stein Mart

Many weddings call for guests to wear semi–formal attire. Depending on the time of the event, you’ll want to dress somewhere between formal and casual for a semi-formal summer wedding.

This is the dress that I will wear for my niece’s wedding in Michigan in August. I LOVE everything about this Long Power Mesh Maxi Dress from Stein Mart. From the beautiful shades of blue to the way it flatters my body shape!

Look at how fabulous the criss-cross front is! This dress hides so many of my body flaws which is why I really love wearing it! The flame stitch colors of blues give me so many options for accessorizing. I am wearing turquoise jewelry but this dress allows me to wear any shade of blue or white accessories.  I am going to bring a turquoise pashmina to wear at the wedding if I get chilly. For sizing purposes, I am wearing a size 10.

3. Casual Wedding Dress

If you’ve received an invitation with the dress code for the wedding as “Casual Attire” it usually indicates that the wedding will likely be held outdoors, meaning the event will be much more laid-back, especially when it comes to what dress you will wear.

You can wear either a summer maxi dress or a short dress to a casual wedding.

This fun blue tie-dyed Shift dress is perfect for a casual wedding or anytime you want to wear a dress. Tie-dye fashion is so popular with young girls this summer but it’s also perfect for girls over 50! In fact, we were the first to embrace tie-dye fashion! I wonder if we should tell them that we wore it first?

We’re going to the rehearsal dinner on Thursday night and I will be wearing this tie-dyed shift dress with my shell necklace and earrings.
