Linen Outfits for Women over 50 from Chico’s

The temperatures are rising and I’m pulling out all my favorite linen outfits for the summer. I recently added two linen tops from Chico’s linen collection to add to my wardrobe. They are perfect linen outfits for women over 50.

First Linen Outfit

I am a fan of Chico’s no-iron linen collection. What I like about the no-iron collection is that the clothes don’t wrinkle as much as a true linen outfit. I really like this No Iron Linen Print Button Back Tunic because of the beautiful blues and greens on this abstract tunic. The tunic also features a shape-flattering button-back detail.

Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and I pulled out my old Chico’s jewelry that I wore last summer in this post.

The no-iron collection of shirts at Chico’s is pretty extensive; most are linen but Chico’s also offers no-iron cotton. I find both fabrics to only be a hint stiffer than traditional linen and cotton, still offering similar drape, opacity, and comfort. Chico’s wrinkle-free linen coordinates with standard 100% linen nicely; you could easily mix and match with other linen brands and separates for a cohesive ensemble.

My linen pants are also from Chico’s but are a couple of years old. I don’t mind the wrinkles when I wear linen clothing in the summer.

Second Linen Outfit for Women over 50

This time I am wearing a 40th Anniversary Linen Tie Tee from Chico’s 40th Anniversary collection. This top is 100% linen and I love the color combination of the ikat print! Instead of wearing white linen pants, I am wearing this top with Chico’s Brigitte Slim Crops in white. I actually wore this outfit for Cinco de Mayo on Instagram. It even included a tasty Mexican Mojito recipe which I will share with you here.

Mexican Mojito Cocktail

Ingredients:
5 mint leaves, more for garnish
2 ounces white tequila ( I use Teremana which is owned by The Rock )
1-ounce fresh lime juice
½ ounce simple syrup
Ice
Club soda or sparkling water
Lime slices, for garnish
Instructions:
Lightly muddle the mint in the bottom of a cocktail shaker until aromatic. Add the tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice, and shake.
Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with lime slices and more mint

I was hoping to share this post with you at the beginning of May but I needed to share the other and daughter posts which put this post on a later schedule. However, the Mexican Mojito makes a wonderful summer cocktail!

Unfortunately, my earrings and red cuff have already sold out. I’m seeing this happen a lot with Chico’s jewelry.
