Kicking off My Summer with Chico’s
I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend and are ready for the summer! The temperatures are already in the high 80’s and 90’s so we are ready to entertain our family and friends outside by our pool. We throw summer cookouts a lot because everyone wants to enjoy our pool. Except me, I am busy being the hostess and won’t be swimming. Thanks to Chico’s I will look fabulous and casual in their new comfort waist cropped pants that are very lightweight and perfect for the summer. These relaxed-fit utility crops are designed with Comfort Waist technology, featuring hidden elastic at the back waistband. They’re finessed with a floral print that guarantees you’ll be on your very boldest behavior.
I love this white pleated lace top (it also comes in black) that I selected to go with my floral cropped utility pants and the fabulous necklace, bracelet, and earrings all from Chico’s.
Chico’s New Home and Gift Collection
I really like Chico’s new Home and Gift collection and was thrilled when they arrived at my doorstep! Because I have always been a true Chico’s girl I was delighted that they are expanding their brand and I can suggest items from the home collection for my interior design clients when we are designing their outdoor living spaces.
The plates, bowls, and many of the items in the new collection are only sold online. I love the Greciantile design on the melamine plates and bowls. I selected the indigo ink napkin set to go along with the plates and bowls. I have been looking for wooden salad tongs and love the Pineapple Tong set from Chico’s. So cute!

Entertaining in the summer is casual and the meals are very easy to prepare because of entertaining outdoors. We use the grill and serve cold salads. I really love making kabobs as the main entre and these are very popular with our guests.
I always serve a wonderful green salad filled with heart-healthy ingredients. Blueberries are in season and I make salads and desserts with blueberries in June when the price is low. I also freeze them.

Robin, You’re a cool, beautiful hostess in every sense of the word. I love entertaining but haven’t done much of it after my husband died 7 years ago and then I’ve moved three times. Now I’m going to stay put and am working on my courtyard. Yours is gorgeous!!! Annie and Lulu are still chewing my plants, so I’m taking it slow. Brutal summers in South Texas lend themselves to an indoor/outdoor bash, so I’m almost there. Having my girlfriends over in a few weeks and will definitely look at Chico’s home accessories.
