How We Style Summer Blazer and Shorts

Ladies, how many of you wear shorts with your summer blazer?

This summer the latest trend is wearing a blazer with bike shorts. I’m not a fan of bike shorts as part of my fashion style but I do love knee length straight shorts. I decided to try styling my linen blazer with my knee length shorts for today’s post.

Do you find your style inspiration from following women on social media? Today I invited a few of the wonderful women I follow on Instagram to share their take on summer blazer with shorts. We are all midlife women who believe that age is just a number and wear what we like and not worry about breaking the rules.

Karen is a tennis player with great legs who looks great in shorter shorts. I prefer to hide my broken veins from slapping my legs silly as a cheerleader and being a flight attendant wearing heels under knee-length shorts but I always admire women with great gams. Never be afraid to try something new at our age. If you love a certain look that you see on social media try it for yourself. Never let your age stop you from looking fashionably chic!

My Linen blazer and cross body bag are new and on sale. Leopard print top, jewelry, and so slimming shorts are from Chico’s. I have worn my leopard print shirt and jewelry many times before. I tucked the long leopard shirt into my shorts and added a belt (even though these shorts are pull ons.) 

I am off to New Jersey this weekend for a bridal shower and meet my Instagram Jersey girls, but I’ll see you again on Monday with more fabulous women styling our Summer Whites!
