How to Wear Olive Green for Spring | Chico’s

Happy March! Are you getting excited for warmer weather and spring flowers? Have you been shopping for a new spring outfit or two? I bet you’re wondering why I’m wearing olive green for spring. This color is usually associated with fall, but olive green is a popular color for spring this year.  Olive green is one of the earthy tones to wear this year for spring. Channeling the beauty of nature with this earthy tone that reflects the richness of the great outdoors.  When Chico’s asked me to partner with them, they wanted me to select and style an outfit wearing olive green.

Olive green and navy

Since navy is a popular color for spring, I selected this beautiful Embroidered Moto Jacket to wear with the No-Iron Stretch 3/4 Sleeve Tunic and Travelers Jeans. The jacket has intricate scroll embroidery. This design features moto fit and details, like welt pockets and front zipper, paired with textured knit fabric. The jacket gives you the best of both worlds and goes great with the Travelers Jeans.

Without the Jacket

In this look, I’m wearing the No Iron™ Stretch 3/4 Sleeve Tunic in olive green over the Stripe Ribbed High Neck Tank in black. I tied the shirt in front, but you can also wear it down for an extra layer. Again, I’m wearing Chico’s Travelers Jeans. These are now my favorite pair of pullon jeans! The Journee Collection Vianna Mule in denim blue finishes off this outfit. I love kitten heels and the price of these shoes!

The jewelry that I’m wearing in this post is also from Chico’s. Linear Drop Earrings in olive, the Olive Chico’s Click Bangle, the Gold Tone Stretch Bracelet Set, the Olive Enamel Stretch Bracelet, and the Green Link Bracelet.

Go for an Olive Green Monochromatic Look

In fashion terms, monochromatic dressing means wearing separates of one color that have different textures and/or similar shades of that color for an overall tonal look. I love wearing a monochromatic outfit.  You saw me wearing an all-white monochromatic outfit for the holidays last year in this post.

In this look, I’m wearing the No Iron™ Stretch 3/4 Sleeve Tunic in olive green over the Stripe Ribbed High Neck Tank in black. I crisscrossed the shirt and tucked it into the Brigitte 360 Pants in olive. I can’t begin to tell you how great these pants are. They fit like a glove and look great on me. Since I do not like the look of a pull on pant I added a belt. This almost looks like I’m wearing a jumpsuit! The hot pink Malibu Kitten heels from Patricia Green add a pop of color to this outfit.

How to Style the Pants

So many tops look great with the  Brigitte 360 Pants in olive. However, I selected two white tops from Chico’s latest collection that really look lovely with the pants. I selected the Ruffle Cap Sleeve Tee to wear with the Brigitte 360 pants. This is my second ruffled top. I also have it in navy that would also work with the pants. It’s absolutely adorable to wear! The Journee Collection Mikoa Pump is perfect in every way. I am very impressed with this brand, and this pump comes in seven colors.

How fun is this Modern Art Print Shirt from Chico’s! Made from woven cotton blend material, this design features an eye-catching abstract print, plus unique multi-shape buttons. It’s definitely a whimsical shirt! You can wear it with black pants or jeans.

So there you have it! There are lots of ways to wear olive green for spring!
