How to Host A Fall Dinner Party
Hello September! Please accept my apologies for not posting a lot this summer, but I have been enjoying my summer with my family. I hope you were enjoying your summer too! These past few weeks, I have been busy with the final details of my Influencers of Midlife Summit in Savannah in a couple of weeks. I hosted the summit in Las Vegas last September. In a couple of weeks, I will be hosting a fall dinner party. I thought I would share with you my favorite fall recipes and my table-setting for the dinner party.
Hosting a Fall Dinner Party
Fall is the perfect time to host a dinner party after the summer of outdoor picnics and barbeques with my favorite fall recipes and good conversation.
Set the table for your fall dinner party.
I set the table for the entire fall season with faux pumpkins and leaves as the centerpiece. Keeping the centerpiece low allows people to look at each other across the table. If you have a higher centerpiece, remove it before serving dinner. You can add candles to your centerpiece, but I kept mine simple. Our wedding china and stemware get dusted off and used for our dinner parties.
Fall Dinner Menu
Hosting a fall dinner party is easy when you include your favorite fall vegetables and fruits. I love squash, especially butternut squash, so I’m making this delicious butternut squash soup for my fall dinner party.
Roasted Butternut Squash and Garlic Soup
Bring on the cranberries for fall recipes. I love cranberries as a side dish to chicken, turkey, and pork. This recipe uses cranberries as part of the stuffing. I double the stuffing and serve it on the side too!
This apple-pecan salad is always served in my house. Cranberries and apples are added to my salads, but you can omit the cranberries and follow the recipe.
Fall is apple-picking season, and what a perfect dessert for your dinner party! This easy homemade Apple Crumble is our favorite dessert for apple season! With its sweet, caramelized apple filling and crumbly topping, this simple, comforting dessert is most definitely a crowd-pleaser! Serve warm and bubbling from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a memorable, easy dessert!
We like to serve either pinot gris or chardonnay wine with our dinner, but you can serve whatever you want with pork.
What I’m Wearing
This outfit combines old and new from Chico’s. The new pieces are the Touch of Cool™ Garden Short Sleeve Tee and the Golden Floral Oblong Scarf. The semolina-colored cropped wide-legged pants are no longer available, but I’ve linked camel-colored wide-leg cropped pants as a great replacement. The peplum-hem faux leather jacket was from last fall. The linear drop earrings and the Journee Collection Mikoa Pump in leopard print finish off the outfit.

Until next time!
