Sand Hollow Resort Golf Getaway: Red Rock Views, Relaxed Luxury & Desert Beauty

Some places make you pause mid-step just to take it all in—and Sand Hollow Resort is one of them. Set against the striking red rock landscape of Southern Utah, this getaway felt equal parts energizing and grounding. We came primarily to golf, but what made the stay memorable was how effortlessly everything came together: the course, the food, the space to relax, and the unbeatable location.

Sand Hollow Resort

We were invited by Sand Hollow Resort to experience the resort firsthand last weekend. We were so happy that they gave us a 2-bedroom condo for our stay. Most of the time when we travel with Sammy, she ends up sleeping on a sofa bed in our hotel room. This time she got her own room!

Golf With a View (and a Sense of Ease)

Sand Hollow Golf Course is dramatic in the best possible way. Lush fairways wind through towering red rock formations, creating a setting that feels both bold and peaceful. The Championship Course offers just enough challenge to keep things interesting without ever feeling intimidating.

What I loved most was the atmosphere. This is golf that feels social and enjoyable—where conversation, laughter, and soaking in the scenery matter just as much as your scorecard. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself stopping mid-round, not because you have to, but because the view demands it.

Dinner at The Grille

After a day on the course, dinner at The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort felt perfectly on brand with the rest of the experience—casual, comfortable, and welcoming. It’s the kind of restaurant where golfers wander in sun-kissed and relaxed, and no one is in a hurry.

The menu offers satisfying, familiar favorites that feel especially good after a day outdoors. Portions are generous, the pace is easy, and the atmosphere invites you to linger. If you can snag a spot outside as the light fades over the red rocks, do it. It’s one of those simple vacation moments that quietly becomes a highlight.

Staying in a Two-Bedroom Condo With Sammy

Our two-bedroom condo made the stay feel effortless—especially since we were traveling with Sammy. Having the extra space changed everything. Instead of feeling like we were staying in a resort, it felt like we had settled into our own little desert home.

The condo was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a full kitchen, comfortable living area, and separate bedrooms that allowed everyone to truly unwind. Mornings were slow and quiet, evenings calm and cozy, and Sammy fit right into the rhythm. That sense of ease—of not being rushed or crowded—made the entire trip more enjoyable.

Perfectly Located Between Adventure and Ease

One of the things that truly sets Sand Hollow Resort apart is its location. You’re not just staying at a golf resort—you’re positioned between two of Southern Utah’s most iconic outdoor destinations: Sand Hollow State Park and Zion National Park.

Sand Hollow State Park is right next door, offering a stunning contrast of red sand, blue water, and wide-open desert skies. Even a short visit or scenic drive adds another layer of beauty to your stay.

Zion National Park is also an easy drive away, making Sand Hollow an ideal home base. You can spend the day hiking, exploring, or simply driving through Zion’s towering canyon walls—then return to the quiet comfort of the resort in the evening. It’s the best of both worlds: adventure when you want it, calm when you need it.

A Getaway That Gets the Balance Right

Sand Hollow Resort turned out to be more than a place to golf—it was a place to slow down and truly enjoy Southern Utah. From mornings on the course to relaxed dinners at The Grille, comfortable evenings in our two-bedroom condo with Sammy, and knowing that both Sand Hollow State Park and Zion National Park were just minutes away, it felt like the perfect balance of activity and ease. It’s the kind of getaway that doesn’t ask you to do more, but instead invites you to savor where you are—and that’s what made it so memorable.

Until next time!
