Looks like a fun day! I love that you modeled the outfits for your girlfriend. I really love everything you tried on, especially the plaid pants and the cream jacket. I think you should go for the white denim jacket,as the ruffles are adorable and it looks great. I do love details too and these looks have it. I shop online 98 percent of the time, but if i do shop in a store, its alone as my hubby doesnt have patience for shopping!

I am so happy you are a Chico’s girl like me!
I could probably shop online but my Chico’s store is next to my hair salon so I pop in once a month to see the sales.
What a wonderful memory you shared with us about your shopping trips with your mother. I love her gentle comments when she didn’t like what you were trying on. She must have been a wonderful nurturing person!

Oh man—Robin, that stinks! I know that some of the J. Crew Brick and Mortar stores can be like that. At our local J. Crew at KOP Mall, one of the managers is a woman in her 60’s. Maria. She is incredible and I think by her working there, the sales assistants have a new respect for women of all ages. But I hear you. I had an “issue” with the Tory Burch sales assistants and the saga of my Tory Burch boots from Hell continues!!! XOXOXOXO!!!

When I do venture into the Mall with my sister, I head straight for Chico’s and she goes to shop for her grandchildren. The person I loved shopping with was my Mother. She was honest, but gently; “You don’t look comfortable” was her catchphrase for a garment that didn’t flatter me. She would place the clothes back on the hanger as fast as I could try them on. Shopping was our retail therapy and bonding time, she’s been gone 4 years and I miss her terribly. Love your style!

I enjoy shopping at the same stores you do too, but Lord & Taylor doesn’t exist in Atlanta. I loved that store when we lived in New Jersey!

When I shop alone, I stay in my dressing room. Heaven forbid my husband ever comes shopping with me!!
Not even when I was looking for the Mother of the Groom gown!!

Yes, J. Crew is very popular with many women, but someday I will venture into the store where all the young sales clerks pop up their heads for a nanosecond, then go back to helping a younger person who is maxing out her credit card!!

In all honesty, I don’t even want my husband going with me although every now and then he’ll come and he, along with my daughter, are the only two people I trust!!

My favorite brand? Hands down, J.Crew. 98 percent of my clothes are from Crew. It’s my style and I’m very loyal. I also love the rewards they send me for deep discounts.
